» 17 Road Accident and 53 death every hour
» 98% of People never wear Seat Belt on Rear Seat as possibly not mandatory, not aware
» Despite of fact that 2/3rd of the parents consider Indian roads as unsafe, they do not stress on importance of Seat Belt for Children and neither focus on Child restraint Seat
In partnership with SaveLIFE Foundation, Nissan India has commissioned India’s first survey on rear seat belts with a special focus on children. This baseline survey has been conducted across 11 cities and is the outcome of lack of awareness and lack of Mandatory Rule is what putting safety at toss
Important to note that in event of an accident - a passenger seated on rear seat is highly vulnerable to get much higher force impact causing him to be ejected through the windshield or door window to turn up as fatal accident. Thus is of utmost importance to wear seat belt on Rear Seat too
To educate the next generation and gear them to become more responsible behind the wheels, Nissan India is plan to do extensive school outreach program reaching out to over 2 Lakh students in 240 schools as part of first phase.
We at MyCarHelpline strongly support this social Media Initiative of #HaveYouClickedToday and recommend to take pictures of yours, family members wearing rear seat belt and share and support the initiative for increased awareness of better safety of us and our fellow Indian.
