Honda Cars India announced recall of all new 2nd Generation Amaze Initial Batch
The recall announced for cars manufactured from 17th April 2018 to 24th May 2018 and is a Voluntary recall to check and inspect Power Steering. The OEM has observed that some of the cars may be having the issue of heaviness on Electric Power Steering and the Malfunction sensor light will get illuminated in Instrument Cluster
No Specific information been announced that whether Manual or Automatic, Petrol or Diesel Cars been impacted. Thus - can be presumed that all Models Manufactured from 17th April 2018 to 24th May 2018 could be impacted
To find out the Month of Manufacture - you need to check for 9th Digit of VIN Chassis Number. If 9th Digit is either 'D' or 4, 'E' or 5 - the car may come under category of recall. You can also call up Honda Customer care for same
If you car is under part of recall, no need to Panic
1. Call up your Honda Workshop
2. Fix Convenient Time when you would like to bring car for Inspection of Power Steering Sensor Harness
3. The car will be inspected by Honda Service center and would be hand over to you in under 2 Hours
