Dear Sir/Madam

With reference to the subject cited above myself Abhijit Mohanty from Cuttack,Odisha have booked a Maruti Suzuki Baleno Petrol Delta variant of Granite Grey colour on 27/10/2015 from Nexa Twin-City (Sky Automobiles).I'm getting the delivery on 30th of Nov.

The Relationship Manager (Mr.Udaybir Mohanty) and Manager Mr Sanjay Gupta with whom I was dealing with says if I don't take the insurance from the dealer then I can't take the car my money will be refunded, but as per IRDA norms :

No Manufacturer has given a Mandate to Dealer to deliver in car only when Insurance taken from his Dealership (Unless - there is Free Insurance Scheme - where in offer Valid when Insurance taken from Select preferred Partner Insurance Players as per Terms and Conditions of Scheme laid down by Dealer or Manufacturer)


I want you to take necessary actions against the dealer for malpracticing and blackmailing the customers. I have also complained to Nexa Support with Complaint number Nx356722290 but I didn't get any response,My complaint is yet to be resolved.

I need your suggestions what can I do on this matter.

Also - do mention in complaint number and may refer this Post on - Consumer Rights on Car Insurance along with IRDA advisory terms in complaint.

As a consumer right and for benefits of thousands others
Yes - you may file the same - if seeking an action

But - would recommend in - to atleast let manufacturer intervene in first on your complaint
In case of no reply or unsatisfactory response (where Insurance condition remains - and the fact that manufacturer is not offering in free insurance) may proceed it ahead by filing complaint with IRDA or lodge a case under Consumer Protection Act as may deem fit.

The same showroom at Cuttack is not only forcing me to buy Maruti insurance which costs 5k extra than new India , but the showroom SRM Mr Jyoti is forcing me to buy extended warranty else they will not deliver my full paid ciaz Today (31st December).
