Is UV cut glass put in Maruti Baleno higher trims any good, no good references on this topic in internet. does it keep car cool and reduce ac compressor strain, because usually only IR rays are associated with heat not UV and do all cars have some tint to glasses or they come with clear glass only? can one get UV glass as an accessory in baleno lower trims ??

Hello,

Well - Windshields (Front and Rear Windshield) in almost all modern age cars are UV Compliant
What - Maruti Suzuki Offering additionally is making the side window glass (a portion as UV Compliant)

This is been offered in Maruti Baleno Zeta and Alpha Trim as standard
Direct Benefits is protecting UV Rays to enter in Cabin from side window glasses - which otherwise also enters from side and prevent skin related allergies due to UV Radiations. Essentially useful on long drives with Kids - if seating in side rear seats and in summers - this type of UV Glass protects the radiations entering car to an extent.

Benefit of UV Protected Glass is more for Health and has less to do with AC Cooling or compressor strain

Dont think that UV Glass would be offered as an accessory - though there are UV Coated Films (aka as Tinted Films) which were available earlier - but due to Supreme Court Order is ban on cars.

Still suggest to check with 3M - if they have any such transparent UV Protected films available.
Hope should help in !!

Hi there ....even I'm confused on choosing a zeta varaint over delta...70k difference .....though I get alloy wheels, smart key, push button start, chrome handles n UV cut glass.I'm still not able to decide and none of them pleased me for 70 k diff.( huge diff. for me atleast)......never known about UV cut glass.......I can clearly suggest if you are ready to pay 70 k diff your car will look like a premium segment...esp with those alloys n chrome handles.

I think the difference is 83k in Dehi to be price considering on road price.I don't find that hike justified, its just another sales gimmick .The point is they will always leave something on a lower variant leaving us wanting for more. I too am looking for the delta variant and IMO the more important things that you should consider upgrading to are the alloy wheels, fog lamps and a few leather covering over steering and gear lever handle and it will cost you 23k , 4.5k and 2k respectively and you are still saving 50k from the zeta variant and keeping the essential features. And if are still wanting more , you could always ask for the accessories list .
