Dear Sir,

I have just bought a Maruti Wagnor 2001 Model from Delhi and applied for NOC with all the required documents in Delhi. I wants to transfer this Car from Delhi to Mohali (Punjab). Please tell me that the new rule for 15 years old vehicle will effect on this and can I get the NOC for this.

Thanks

Hello,

As per Emission Standards - any car to be registered
> BS 4 Compliant - Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Pune, Surat, Kanpur, Lucknow, Sholapur, Jamshedpur and Agra.

> BS 3 - Complaint - Rest all other cities in India

This is related to BS - Bharat Stage Emission Norms governing pollution from Vehicles
BS 3 Norms came in April 2005 onwards and cars manufactured in 2005 only are BS-3 Compliant.

Considering this Wagon R was manufactured in 2001 and is a Delhi registered car - it would most likely be BS-2 compliant
Unfortunately - this vehicle can not be re-registered due to Bharat Stage 3 Emission norms prevalent as a base criteria in Zone.

@ Rohit

Starting 1st April 2017 - only BS-4 compliant vehicles can be registered in
Been the
> car in question is 2006 make - most likely be bs-3 compliant
> Fact that there is no NOC - without which the car can not be re-registered
> Even if registration number will change and the process may take time post March

Will suggest to avoid
However - for info purpose may refer below article post

> BS Emission Norms
> Vehicle Re Registration
