Hello,
How the process happens is -
- A regular color and model (basis dealer past sales) is regular been billed by manufacturer to dealer on ongoing basis
- Where the color or model is not in much demand - a dealer indents the car to manufacturer (of specified colors and models) basis the booking, color and stock requirements
The Manufacturer then dispatches the car to dealer basis the indent received.
A dealer gets dispatch report from Honda on daily basis - about cars in transit, in plant booking order received etc (but thats internal to dealership)
Our estimate is that - A car which is indented a fresh with Honda are generally been received by dealer from 8 - 10 working days.
If you have ordered a specific color and model which is not with dealer in stock, you can speak to them for validation of dispatch report.
(However, Unsure that they will share it with you as there is no delay and thats internal MIS of dealer)
Having said that - been the production is in full swing - what we are aware from our relationships with Honda dealers - that there is no shortage of supply in any or either way. Any models been booked are all been delivered on time. Even if not in stock, a dealer is taking at max 10 - 12 days to deliver a model to to customer - from time of receipt of payment.
