I want a sub compact SUV preferably petrol automatic.
1. I am having a family of four.
2. The car should be drivable for ladies.
3. Most use in city with weekend trips
4. Daily run approx 10 km and on some weekend 100 km.
5. 360 degree camera is must.
6. Budget 16 Lakh in road
7. Priorities are Safety reliability and features

It will be our first car and will be driven more by my wife than me.
Please advise me best car
One more should I go for ADAS feature

Car under consideration was
a. Hyundai Venue SX(O) DCT
b. Mahindra XUV 3XO AX5L (due to ADAS)

Dear Nikhil ji,

Greetings !!
As i understand you seek -
a. Utmost convenience in driving and parking car
b. Reliable Car yet high on Safety

I cant really suggest on Mahindra XUV3xo - as this is a newly launched model and however attractive the model looks on price, features - but historical data suggest teething issues with all new cars launched by Mahindra - so whether its Scorpio N, XUV700, Thar - there were issues reported earlier in intiial batches by users and cant really vouch on XUV3xo on reliability part

Tata Nexon DCA - although looks promising but again is not a niggle free car, and kind of electronics as used by Tata in New Nexon - is still not niggle free experience

Hyundai Venue - somehow not available with Rear View Camera.

Kia Sonet - suspension is on stiffer side and somehow from space element feels compact among all SUV Cars

Point is: If you seek reliability, peace of mind and yet a car which is convenient and ease to use in and at same time loaded with safety
I suggest to check out - Maruti Brezza Zxi Plus Automatic with 5 major reasons

1. High on reliability with superior after sales. You really do not need to worry about service, after sales

2. More Refined Engine. As against other cars - XUV3xo, Nexon, Sonet and Venue been 3 cylinder - engine NVH are superior in Brezza with 4 cylinder engine

3. Suspension tuned for comfort side. If major use is in city use - will find more comfortable ride over competition cars especially Sonet. Venue, Nexon

4. Indeed with excellent low end torque as given engine is naturally aspirated - no question of lag as such which otherwise can be felt at lower RPM with Turbo charged cars

5. Yes - scored in 4 star earlier - but new Brezza Zxi+ Auto comes with ABS with EBD, ESP, Hill Hold Assist, 6 Airbags Auto Dimming Rear View Mirror, LED Front Fog Light, Rear Defogger - making it all rounder from Safety Element

What wont like in Brezza Zxi+ Automatic
Somehow 2 shortcomings :-

1. Feel very average in high speed dynamics, somehow average steering feedback at high speed is down-point - its best as city car only

2. Interiors now again feel average in front of other cars. Despite of spending in 16 Lakh On road (basis price in Delhi) - a feel of rich interiors is definite missed

But - be assured is a great car for city use and if thats the need basis comfort, features, reliability and yes 360 degree cam - you cant go wrong with Brezza Zxi+ Automatic.

@ Nikhil ji

If 360 Degree cam is not a deal breaker, then Hyundai Venue N Line N8 DCT Automatic is what a great all round choice
a. In Turbo Petrol Engines - is the most refined one with superior NVH
b. Hyundai after sales and reliability is second to none. So much so - they are offering warranty upto 7 yrs (ofcourse on payment basis) - but offers lot more peace of mind
c. Interiors feels premium - better fit and finish against Tata, Mahindra having slight panel gaps
d. Full Suite of active and passive safety features - ABS EBD, All 4 disc brakes, ESP, Hill Assist, 6 Airbags, TPMS and ECM Rear View mirror
e. Near Fully Loaded Lifestyle Experience except 360 cam & cooled ventilated front seat
f. Feels marginally better in cabin space management as against Sonet and driving too - not excessive stiff but balanced suspension and N line feels sporty too and looks with fit, finish in red stiches with red inserts makes it differentiating.

Am sure the experience of ownership, drive comfort, reliability, features list and styling would be all round great experience with Venue N Line.

Sir
What is your opinion about skoda kushawq base varient 1.0

As specified - Features list is a priority - you get only basic standard features in this base variant.
Somehow a reason why many buyers chose in top models of compact SUV as against base variant of mid size SUV is features.
So if thats priority indeed shouldnt look for Kushaq

But if Performance, Build, all round Handling with a bigger car feel - Skoda Kushaq is good to go (but again base variant has basic features.

Sir
As per your valuable opinion I booked venue N8 DCT. But sir I have one doubt please clarify me does venue N8 ADAS system has forward collision avoidance assistance (not warning)? Means can car apply automatic emergency braking itself in case of emergency ?

Hello Nikhil ji,

Venue comes with ADAS Level 1 where first an alert sent to driver if car system detect collision and if driver do not react to it then Autonomous braking is done to prevent collision.

Hope should help.
