Hello,

Hyundai Verna Automatic is available in 2 engine / transmission choices

a. 1.5 Naturally aspirated Petrol Engine in IVT Automatic
b. 1.5 Litre Turbo charged Petrol Engine in DCT Gearbox

Additionally - at any given point of time - this 4 cylinder engine
a. Noise, Vibration
b. Smooth Power Delivery
c. Fun in DCT
d. Seamless smooth gear shifts

are significantly better against 3 cylinder AMT gearbox.
Additionally - body roll is again on lower side in Verna as against Nexon

Where Nexon leads as against Verna is 3 point
a. Immaculate Body Quality
b. Offers higher features in lesser price, for instance Nexon Creative Plus Sunroof AMT offers higher features including 360 Degree cam, Bigger and more intutive 10.25 inch touchscreen (as against 8 inch in Verna) with Wireless N avigation - at near 1 Lakh price
c. Raised Ground clearance factor with SUV Tag to it

Rest yes Nexon has Slight more fun in Turbo charged Petrol Engine against Naturally aspirated Engine of Verna

But come down to
a. Ergonomics
b. All round visibility (where A Pillar of Nexon, Rear view looks obstructed)
c. Engine refinement
d. Comfort for day to day city usage
e. In city drive, smooth CVT Transmission
f. More Stable ride on highways
g. Feels more upmarket in Interiors, Exteriors
h. Superior reliability, after sales

Verna wins over Nexon. Even - Ready to spend more and need more fun - you get in scintillating pickup response in 160 PS Power in verna DCT

So you have to decide on what you seek - to view if Build, SUV Style, More Features in lesser price is criteria then is Nexon
But rest from all other factors is Verna having an edge.

Hope should help !!

Hello,

Honda elevate cvt vs Verna ivt ?

What are your priorities ? Do you like raised seating or low seating ? Elevate has more commanding road presence
Rear Seat for 2 or 3 members ? as Elevate best for 4 members only
Features, Road Presence or SUV Kind Styling ? Verna feels more advanced, superior stability
Verna is more fuel efficient too.
Verna scored in 5 star too in NCAP rating

Verna build is same as Nexon right ?

Nop as per Global NCAP - Verna although 5 star but structure marked unstable at higher crash
Nexon body shell integrity was marked stable at 64 kmph speed.
However, active and passive safety features are nearly common in both these cars.

Sir, to be honest, I want a car in which 4 people can sit comfortably, on long drives there should be no tiredness.
Plus I want the car to give the best driving experience, be it the engine, driving dynamics, handling, built quality, like a Honda city, but Honda city engine is noisy now.

Slavia 1.5 vs verna 1.5 My findings,

1. Slavia isn’t that premium in terms of interiors, gear shifts aren’t as smooth as Verna, engine sound is evident in Slavia.
2. Slavia is almost 2.5 lakhs more than Verna
3. Can I go for Verna sx ivt or wait for Tata curvv petrol 1.5 ?
4. As you said Verna build is unstable above 64 kmph, keeping aside its 5 star rating, very keen observation thanks for that!

Hi,

See theres no perfect car.

Slavia is referred for
a. DSG Performance
b. Driving Dynamics on high speed
c. Better Handling on higher speed
d. Immaculate Build

Rest - yes noise levels, rattles, premium feel which you can get in Verna is missing in it
Verna IVT is for smooth city drive, for comfort, for relaxed drive.
Slavia DSG is for fun, performance, high speed handling and yes build quality at its best

You need to decide on what you seek
Tata Curvv coming up with EV first, and will be introduced in Internal combustion engine later on
Adding on - would be too much of an expectation if you expecting Tata engine in Noise levels to be lesser than Skoda, VW

So - if this noisier cabin is a deal breaker - Hyundai, Kia has segment benchmarks followed close is Honda & Maruti.
Should help !!
