Hello,

Can give you an estimated views

For Stolen Vehicle
When vehicle is stolen - generally number plates are been altered by the cannivance group.
> These days - all dealers have DMS (Dealer Management System) - you can cross check the owner name from a Toyota Authorized Dealer by Punching in RC, Engine and Chassis number - all these 3 details should match exactly

Even the dealer can also extract how many times the vehicle has been serviced with Authorized Workshop including last service record - known as service history. However - they generally put up a request when it comes from the owner

> Also - check for Insurance company - when was the Insurance Policy taken - is it been taken recently & a 3rd party policy - creates suspicion. If comprehensive and has vintage - including owner sharing previous policy details too. Check for Engine no/chassis no as mentioned in Insurance as against SMart Card

> Always look for Original Smart Card & check Registration, Manufacturing month details. Check for Loan HP on it - if mentioned or not.

> Have a Sale agreement vetted on Stamp Paper - Check Sample Agreement

For Car Meter Reading -
> Check speed o meter reading, see it closely - any gaps in reading, any gap in dash mounting - see it by placing your hand on the dash panel. Do you feel that Dash was separated with the gaps or unevenness on the dash panel

> You can ask the owner to show service records of last 2 to 3 yrs, if unable to get from Toyota dealer on own. The service bill generally has Kms been captured by dealer. You can get an estimate how much running has been done.

> Get car examined by a local mechanic including Tyre condition - its best to have a trusted view of the mechanic - by checking parts, wear & tear condition etc

Disclaimer: Above are some sample checks - though not necessarily can prevent 100% from a planned fraud.
