Hi,

I am trying to finalize the SUV preferably, however the lower price of hatchback/sedan seems attractive as well. I have following needs

1. Presently driving 40 km , and in coming months would be driving 60km daily, and City/Highway around 40/60 %, (more highway).

2. Budget (17-18 L considering BH registration)

3. Driving comfort, mileage, reliability, Safety are key considerations, (looking for 5 member car for occasional outstation trips)

4. Grand vitara mild hyb (Zeta-AT) , Nexon DCA Creative Plus, are in listing, but still clear, should I go for Nexon Diesel AMT or another choice should be explored

regards

Dear Prashant ji,

Greetings !!
Considering Budget, requirement of 5 Member car where daily usage to be increased in near future and what matters is
a. Driving Comfort
b. Safety
c. Mileage
d. Reliability
e. space for 5

Let me tell you - Nexon rear seat space is compact and this SUV has very average rear seat legroom
Although basis need as specified - Toyota HYryder S CVT could have been an excellent buy basis
> Mileage which will be like constantly 20+ for your need - in city can expect 19 to 20, while on highway can get in 24 to 25 Kmpl
> Very Impressive Suspension, Steering feedback, Tyre Grip - delivers top notch handling (suspension is slight modified in Strong Hybrid as against Mild Hybrid)
> Dual Combination product of Toyota-Suzuki where Toyota is supplying Hybrid tech on Suzuki Platform. Decent Build
> Very reliable product basis Toyota knowhow of Hybrid and Suzuki Parts

Space yes is average, but still 3 average physique people can sit on rear seat and definitely lot better than Nexon
But biggest issue with this car is availability - where there is considerable higher waiting period for this model variant.

So if this is not available - basis all other parameters next best buy would be Mahindra XUV300 Diesel AMT for 3 primary reasons
a. In Diesel - AMT calibration is better as against Nexon Diesel
b. Comfort oriented drive
c. Very impressive Power Packed 1.5 Litre Diesel engine with 300 NM Torque
d. Space in Cabin is against better as against Nexon Diesel AMT
e. 5 Star Build Quality infuse confidence in car
f. Impressive Fully Loaded Features

Only con is Outdated interior and limited boot - but if ready to wait then all new XUV300 set for launch in early 2024 where car will get big cosmetic upgrade, else may seal existing car with dealer end discounts.

Hope should help !!
Hello sir,
I have couple of queries
1. Grand vitara mild hybrid: Is it something, I should not consider. As I have almost booked it... Never thought of strong hybrid.... What are the practical issues with this? Please provide some more insight

2. Toyota hyrider , I have overlooked, may be due to nexa , but is it price point only or something else as well between GV and Toyota

3. Electric vehicles? I'm slightly worried about charging related... Should I not consider?
Thanks
