Dear Gagan Ji,

I have purchased your premium support service. Attached payment transfer screenshot for your reference.

I want to purchase a new car. Want your recommendation for that.

1. I am in sales profession. Currently having a 2015 model Hyundai petrol Grand i10. Want to have one more car for my self. This car will be used by my wife.

2. My monthly car running is approx. 3000- 3500 kms. 70% highway running 30% city run.

3. Looking compact SUV or Mid SUV as it provide good ground clearance. And it's quite helpful for me on rough roads and when waterlogging occurs.

4. Looking for a Car and it's variant which is value for money, Safety because of highway running, mileage because high daily run and good comfort but not looking for luxury facilities. Want a spacious car from inside but not very big for easy manoeuvrability.

5. My budget is around 12-13 lac on road.
I can wait also for some months if it will help in better offer or some better suitable car launching in near future.

Thanks and Regards

Dear Varun Sahab,

Hi. Hope doing great
As the specified usage going to be on higher side

My monthly car running is approx. 3000- 3500 kms. 70% highway running 30% city run.

You should consider a Diesel / Hybrid car. Somehow
a. CNG is not recommended as will find yourself visiting CNG Station every 2nd day for refilling
b. Petrol SUV (non Hybrid) deliver lower mileage due to wider tyres, raised GC, Kerb Weight factor
c. EV car again can face range issues in Tiago EV / Citroen C3 EV

Although there are few smart hybrid cars (to be honest - will call them fake hybrid as they cant run on battery) - but no Strong Hybrid in given price range.

So essentially you are left with Diesel car as choice and is absolute fine to go ahead with diesel - not only for fuel efficiency but even performance factor is better

Recommendation
As you seek Safety as important parameter pls note that from Build factor wise - you just have 2 choices as
a. Tata Nexon
b. Mahindra XUV300

But if seek engine refinement, reliable car with more comfort oriented drive and care more for a skilled drive rather than build per se then you can also consider in
a. Hyundai Venue Diesel in the race

Now what to consider
If Build Quality remains a key criteria and focus point then it has to be in one among :-
> Mahindra XUV300 W6 DIesel
> Tata Nexon Pure Diesel

and although Mahindra XUV300 Diesel is powerhouse but the way enhancements done by Tata Motors in terms of
a. 6 Airbags
b. More Premium Interior feel
c. Better Features (near all essential features - 6 Airbags, ESP, Bi Function LED Headlights, AC with Rear AC, 7 Inch Touchscreen system, All 4 Power WIndow. Electric ORVM, Central Lock, Android Auto, Digital Instrument Cluster, Voice Command etc) - you do not need to looks elsewhere
d. Better Fuel Efficiency

You will love in experience of Safe Car with Styling, Features and Road Presence in Tata Nexon Diesel
Also as engine & suspension is same - can even check on Pre facelift Nexon XZ Diesel (if dealer has in stock) and ready to offer at 70K to 80K lower - this model even has Push Ignition, Auto Climate Control, Alloys, Camera too)

Alternatively:-
Care for a car where
a. Engine feels more refined - HYundai has best calibrated diesel engine from refinement, NVH Perspective
b. Overall drive in terms of steering, handling, suspension feels more sorted - lesser body roll
c. Hyundai reliability is second to none and after sales is premium
d. More Performance oriented in fun to drive, pickup response

then is Hyundai Venue S Diesel and at a price which would be like Rs 60K lesser as against Nexon Diesel
But this model only equipped with dual airbags and build has subjective element to it

Overall
So it ends up with Nexon Pure Diesel / Venue S Diesel
Suggest to test drive and experience. While Tata Nexon carries charm of Safety Feature, Build - Venue comes with Engine refinement, Cabin Insulation and After sales as key differentiator

Choose what matters you the most.
Hope should help

Gagan ji,

KAISE HAI AAP

Thanks for such a detailed revert touching up on all the available options.

I was planning to go with Petrol smart Hybrid option of Grand Vitara base model.

But after your reply dropped the idea and will go with Diesel Car.

And safety being priority for me, So will look from Nexon or XUV 300.

XUV 300 planned to bring their facelift variant. So Should I wait for that or go with Tata Nexon.

Naah Gupta Sahab - XUV300 Diesel facelift still has minimum 4 months to go and by that time car prices will raise northward
Also XUV300 has suspension which feel noisier on bad roads

I suggest to consider in Nexon Diesel as reasonable value priced (or pre facelift if gets close to 70K off)
