Dear Sir,

I need your help regarding buying a new 6 seater car. This will be my first car. I have watched a few videos of your channel in YouTube. Great videos!! I wish more luck, fame & Joy! I hope this mail will find you well & happy.

My budget is less than 15 Lakhs. I wish safety, low noise & vibration, space in my car if possible in my budget. I am from Cooch Behar, West Bengal.. this place is about 120 km from siliguri.

So kindly help me in this regard. Please find the attached screenshot.

Dear Sujash,

Greetings !!
As i understand that you have Maruti, Hyundai, Kia, Tata, Mahindra in Cooch Behar with major hub as Siliguri having near almost every dealer showroom placed

Kind appraise that 120 Kms is still a distance and recommended to opt for one which has local presence wth service center in Cooch Behar
Basis facts mentioned about
> safety
> low noise & vibration
> space

See available choices in sub 15 Lakh Budget are pretty few including
1. Kia Carens
2. Maruti Ertiga
3. Maruti XL6
4. Mahindra Marazzo
5. Renault Triber

While Marazzo is diesel only and certainly feels more noisier with cabin insulation feels medicore and diesel engine clatter do enter in cabin at higher speed.

Renault Triber 3 cylinder engine is noiser too with much higher engine NVH as against refined and silent Carens / Ertiga & XL6 Engine

So options left are in form of
> Maruti Ertiga, XL6
> Kia Carens

Now in between Ertiga and XL6 - will definitely pick XL6 Alpha been same
a. 6 Seater captain layout with independent armrest, slide and recline is the biggest strength for utmost comfort for 2nd row passenger
b. Feels more premium in Interiors and Exteriors over Ertiga
c. Ingress and Egress is relative easier in 3rd Row too

Engine is super silent, 16 Inch wheels offers good stability,
Although is a 3 star car in build but has active safety of ABS with good brakes, ESP with Hill Assist and passive safety of 4 Airbags.
So careful drive by following speed limits is mantra to ensure good safety for passengers.

Feel like even better product - get on to Kia Carens Prestige GDI with reasons
a. Suspension feels even more comfort oriented over Ertiga, will love passenger comfort in car
b. Although a 7 Seater but even more spacious in 3rd Row with better legroom space, better placed 3rd Row seat and one touch tumble feature on 2nd Row in Kia Carens is even more easier to enter in 3rd row
c. More Fun to drive in Turbo Petrol Engine as against 1.5 Litre Naturally aspirated Petrol Engine
d. Has even Curtain Airbags

Do note that Kia Carens too scored in 3 star rating - but mantra lies in bottom line of safe and controlled speed drive. As driver skills and speed limits comes first and foremost over any safety feature in car.

Overall Recommendation
If seek space, superior performance, comfort with more fun element - Kia Carens is an excellent pick
Yes build scored low but car stuffed with active and passive safety features and if believe in controlled speed drive - can definitely consider this car.

Else if seek superior comfort on 2nd Row as prime factor and more features in lesser price with near similar build then can consider XL6 Alpha over Carens, although as product per se Carens has an edge over XL6

Hope should help. Have test drive to experience.
