Hi I was using Polo 1.2 TDI highline for last 10 years in Kolkata. In 9.5 years I've driven 1.58 lakh Km mostly inside Kolkata. I'm planning to buy a new car this month. I've taken test drive of Amaze SCVT, Baleno, Swift VXI, Nios sports. Problem is I've a sharp 90° turn in my lane where Amaze & Baleno is very very difficult to turn. Even the showroom drivers faced huge difficulties. So I need your support to choose a new car. My average drive is 70 km per day.

Dear Soumen,

Hi. As you specified that you used Polo with extensive drive experience
sharp 90° turn in my lane where Amaze & Baleno is very very difficult to turn. Even the showroom drivers faced huge difficulties.

See a tact is required to be
> slight far away to make it easy
> Car steering should have low turning radius
> car steering should have decent feedback to be auto centered in as and when you complete turn and release steering wheel on its own

Also ideally if the car has ESP - will prevent oversteer and understeer too.
To my view - Maruti Swift Vxi, Hyundai Grand i10 Sportz and above, Maruti Baleno AMT variants will meet purpose - but of all basis fact that steering feedback, turning radius, tyre profile matters - its all new Swift Vxi which will be the pick basis fact
> Swift Turning radius at 4.8 m lower than Baleno
> Has betters steering feedback (and not as light steering as Nios) - some amount of higher feedback is required
> Swift Vxi in more competitive price now offers ESP in 2023
> Car Steering yes auto center in itself on sharp turns
> Not as wide as Baleno and not as wider tyres which can limit steering feedback too

The pick is definitely Swift Vxi over above. Having said same - if average drive is near 70 Kms/ day which is like close to 2000 Kms a month - having CNG Car as Swift Vxi CNG would be relative better scenario over the Petrol one.

May check out this car as more competitive, fuel efficient and better pick for need as specified.
Hope should help !!
