Hi,

Planning to purchase Brezza Zxi DT AT, Onroad 15.77 in Bangalore. Not satisfied with New brezza, is kind of slow response from engine. It's bit pricy as well. My question is, it it worth to go for it? Is it demans battery replacement every 4 yr? Which cost 75k..
Please let me know, if not what other alternative available... Looking for comfortable drive, fuel efficient, good quality vehicle

Thanks

Hi,

Greetings !!
Pls find point wise inputs

1. Karnataka has one among highest road tax zones in country. For a car like Brezza Zxi Automatic in sub 4 meter segment - state road tax & registration charges is whopping 2.35 Lakh rs.

2. If you are eligible for BH - Bharat Series Number plate - may try to reduce upfront tax payment by almost 1 Lakh and also pay on pro-rata basis every 2 years which reduce in on road price considerably. Pls check BH Road Tax on Cars

3. Maruti Car Battery mere cost Rs 9000 approx as used in SHVS cars and Lithium Ion Battery under seat cost around rs 8000 to 10,000
Yes replacement can be expected in 4 to 5 yrs depending on usage

4. From
a) Comfort
b) Fuel Efficiency
c) Decent Quality in Features per se

If you ready to move out of SUV and rather check for Sedan - look out for Maruti Ciaz Zeta Automatic
> This car suspension has more comfort as against Brezza
> Lot more space as against Brezza
> Decent Features in Zeta Varinat

Cost almost 1.5 Lakh lower than Brezza Zxi Automatic

Alternatively if you seek a SUV in rather budget price check out Renault Kiger RXT Option CVT - why this car
> Suspension is fair impressive and steering feel feedback is acceptable in city
> Turbo CVT response is acceptable
> Mileage in SUV Cars is relative lower but still Renault Kiger in comparison is better than many other cars
> Space wise pretty spacious on rear seat
> 4 Star Rated Car

What wont lile
> Renault after sales service experience
> Fit and Finish not great to view
> Relative more Vibrations and Noise from Engine

But with final on road price to be almost 4 Lakh+ lower than Brezza - it calls for attention
Suggest to test drive as theres surprise element in this car too.

Hope should help !!
Hi,
Thanks for your reply,

1. I took Brezza AT drive, being CVT also, it's not linear, may be it's mild hybrid intervening. But honestly, I was not happy with drive.

2. Alternatively suggested to go for KIGER 1.0 CVT, I have little concern about turbo engine reliability...
3. Brezza is compared against rivals in same price range, and having upper edge because of 1.5l engine, is this correct understanding?
As still inconclusive about Brezza

Hi,

1. Brezza Automatic although is what 6 speed but car tuned for primarily city use
At pickup - will find dearth of power, at higher speed handling is medicore
Engine although silent but tuned for relaxed drive - if you revv it up, engine will turn vocal and slight jerks too

2. Turbo Engine needs some basics
a) Idling for 20 to 30 second at start after overnight
b) Idling for 20 to 30 second at complete halt after long distance trave;
This all is done to prevent turbo charger failure which is what expensive component.
Rest CVT is pretty reliable and timely replacement of transmission fluid (as per service interval or top up) along with other oil change will ensure car to be good upkeep

Rest rather than Turbo - its the after-sales service experience fo Renault which needs to be slight a concern

3. Brezza somehow is applied with 28%GST +17% Cess, due to engine been larger than 1.2 Litre while all other cars like
> Venue
> Sonet
> Kiger
> Magnite
> XUV300
> Nexon
> WRV
are what applied withy 28% GST + 1% Cess as engine is 1.2 Litre or smaller. Maruti is passing the tax to customers and thus car is priced higher

4. Somehow road tax as explained earlier in Karnataka are higher than most other cities - hence car feels further pricier there

Rest if seek
> Comfort
> MIleage
> Quality

Pls note that XUV300 & Nexon are AMT and not as smooth in transmission response
Sonet and Venue suspension is relative on stiffened note
WRV is Manual Transmission only
Magnite offers relative medicore steering and suspension not to likes of Kiger

Hence - either Brezza or if seek relative lower price one then Kiger - but fit and finish, after sales not as great and thus quality score not as high as Brezza.

Hope should help !!
Hi,
Thanks for enlightening response,
During my search, initially inclined for Ertiga as well. I wanted to ask few points wrt to Brezza vs Ertiga, ( I do understand, these are different segment, but price bracket, engine almost same)

1. Whether driving dynamics of Ertiga is better than Brezza? In terms of City drive, and highway driving in higher speed

2. Is Stability of Ertiga is comparable to other different segment vehicle like Sedans
Thanks

Hi,

Sure, but pls have test drive fo Ertiga as its more like MPV and although the USP is space and 2nd Row Comfort with 3rd Row but
a) Suspension is relative on firm note
b) Driving Dynamics is not as comfort as in Brezza
c) Lacks the SUV'ish feel - Tyre profile not as wider
d) Brezza Cabin feels slight more plush as against Ertiga to view
Hi,
I have checked following options

1. Grand vitara mild hybrid, MT, base model
Liked vehicle, few noticing like thin sheet, please suggest your views on this vehicle in terms of handling and dynamic as well

2. Driven Creta 1.5 petrol MT, Liked Creta, it was pretty smooth compared to Brezza and Vitara

3. Seltos 1.5 Mt, but quite surprised with its dynamics and frequently engine getting off in initial start time.

4. Checked Venue, but didn't find better than Brezza

As I have started from Brezza , so reference are from this, please suggest, as looking
For good city drive with mileage not too bad, and occasional highway driving but with good handling of stability and other aspects

Thanks

Dear Prashant ji,

I believe you were looking for Automatic Transmission as choice
Somehow given cars as specified are referred for Manual Transmission

At any given day - Hyundai 1.5 Engine is more smooth and instead of Manual, for convenience factor can actually consider in Creta S IMT which is what priced Rs 50K higher than Brezza Zxi Automatic for
> IMT has no manual clutch so definite will find an added convenience as against Creta S Manual
> Creta engine is more refined
> Plush Seats with better seating comfort
> More Upmarket Cabin Experience
> More Comfort Oriented Suspension

For Grand Vitara - pls refer Grand Vitara Positives and Negatives

Should help !!

Hello Sir,

Thanks for response, I have searched two more options, Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Hyrider... In both, I'm looking for Base model with Mild hybrid. Vehicle stance, and small driving experience was good. I have following questions
1. Hearing lots of reviews about light metal sheet, in both... Still, which is better among themselves? And in which are all ways, and are both are like fragile cars?

2. I already driven, Creta petrol Manual, and felt, Creta is better in interior and handling, but as I m targeting base model, in that comparison, GV/Hyrder/Creta,; in terms of features, Milage, Reliability... which is better deal?

3. Since I have started with Brezza, don't know the reasons, but still considering as options ( LXI)... But family is not preferring, after seeing othe options... Any say on this..

Would be possible to have audio call?

Thanks and regards

Sir,

I believe you were looking for Automatic car earlier.

Anyhow - Pls find inputs

1. Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Hyrider. Hearing lots of reviews about light metal sheet, in both... Still, which is better among themselves? And in which are all ways, and are both are like fragile cars?

A. Build Quality can not be determined by sheet metal quality. Rather is engineering aspect basis crumple zone, design, sheet metal
Baleno as sold in Europe in 2016 fetched 4 star safety rating in Euro NCAP which had more stringent safety norms. While Scorpio as was sold earlier scored 0 Star despite 2x the weight of Baleno.

In nutshell with the baseline fact remains that Brezza as sub 4 meter one scored 4 star rating and a joint attempt by Toyota, Maruti to design and provide a safe car (basis increased safety awareness) - can expect Hyryder or GRand Vitara to be reasonable safe car.

2. I already driven, Creta petrol Manual, and felt, Creta is better in interior and handling, but as I m targeting base model, in that comparison, GV/Hyrder/Creta,; in terms of features, Milage, Reliability... which is better deal?

I suggest to check out Maruti Grand Vitara Review - should help in making right choice

3. Since I have started with Brezza, don't know the reasons, but still considering as options ( LXI)... But family is not preferring, after seeing othe options... Any say on this..

Brezza Lxi is for those buyers who
> Love doing car modification by choosing music system of there type, camera, alloys of there type - know car detailing solutions to add read seat headrest along with other mods
> Unmatched Value Buy Car in SUV Segment with Bigger 1.5 Litre Engine, Safety, Convenience, Decent drive yet with reliability, mileage and all essential basic features in 10 Lakh Budget

Somehow from cons - rear seat placed relative upright, lacks factory fit system

Hope should help !!
