I own 2 cars Toyota Innova Crysta 2.8Z
another one Tata Safari 2022 Automatic
i am planning to take 3rd car, but in dilemma which one to take.
As of now planning to take Used Fortuner Automatic, but also have another plan to take used premium car like, Volvo, Benz, Audi (But for premium cars the maintenance is high and resale value is too low, some of my friends opinion)
Please recommend a car for me

Purpose of usage needs to be cleared, as above are rear wheel drive one
If you planning for Off road usage - then buying a Fortuner 4x4 would be lot better scenario as against Used Luxury Brands.
Infact will say to take advantahe and rather than Fortuner consider in Used Endeavor 4x4 3.2 Litre Engine Diesel as
> Suspension was much better comfort oriented
> 4x4 Handling of Endeavour including ride quality
> 3.2 Litre Diesel Engine was real beast and fun
As Ford has discontinued in Operations - can get relative much better price too.
Service Spare may take some time in case of family- but as you have 2 cars already in family - it shouldnt be a deal breaker provided can negotiate a deal on Endeavour 3.2 Price - 7 to 8 Lakh lower than Fortuner price of similar condition and maintaned one.
But - if indeed usage is not going to be off road then after owning Safari and Crysta - owning a Luxury Brand like Audi, Beemer, Benz or Volvo can satisfy in feel factor of luxury brand.
Yes - Service cost are higher, but the way prices of Used Luxury Cars depreciate - they depreciate much faster than Fortuner
INfact a 5 year Old Fortuner Price and BMW X5 Price or Audi Q5 Price would be much similar in Used car market (Q5 and X5 used to sell at near 1.5 times the price of Fortuner)
Yes Service cost and if replacement of any major electrical or mechanical component comes - then it will be in Lakhs
Do note that they rarely work on repairs - rather replacement is best done.
So - the first and foremost consideration in Buying a Used Luxury Brand
> How well is the car maintained ?
> Whether all services done on time ?
> If car is indeed in warranty (even if few months left)_- then a big positive
> Before finalizing - Get car inspected throughly from either at Authorized workshop or Used Luxury Brand workshop - even if it cost rs 5000 to 7000 for close inspection of engine, suspension, aircon, motors, electricals, Brakes, exhaust, noise to rule out any issues in car
Trust - if a well maintained, timely serviced Audi, BMW, Benz or Volvo car is even available by spending 1 Lakh to 2 Lakh higher - would be more than worth as will offer lot more peace with relative lesser probability of fault.
