Hi Gagan,

Hope you are doing well
I need you advice for my first car purchase.
I decided to buy Honda City VX CVT. I am a new driver & want automatic car as my first car but at the same time I want reliability. Being a sedan lover my heart says salvia but due service, ac issue, dsg unreliability. I choose City

I lived in Jammu (J&K) so my drive will be in city & may be once in a while I go a long trip... As it is big & wider car in a segment. is it a good choice. I mean for small congested road & what about parking issue ?

Do you have better suggestion ?
How can I negotiate for better deal?

Hi,

Logistics is recently been started by Honda
Suggest to refer different posts under this thread on hanlding charge including court verdict on handling charge and get same waived

Basic Accessory kit can definite be negotiated free as many owners did in past while negotiation

Best regds

I completely agree with you.
Here is price quotation shared by the dealer. They are charging around 5k for logistics & 8k for basic accessory which is optional. Any suggestion for cracking better deal ?
Thank you

Dear Abhinandan,

Greetings. Hope doing great !!

As been first car - Automatic makes perfect sense and with respect to Honda City - some pointers which will assist you.

1. First of all - the only key difference in between Mid Sedan and Hatchback with respect to Parking is
a) Length
b) Steering Turning Radius

If you are apprehensive due to parking space, be aware that its as easy as to park as what a hatchback is
The Visibility, height, width remains more or less similar with few couple of inches difference at max. You get Multi Mode camera with Guidelines along 4 Reverse Sensor and can easily park on reverse

Yes - City is 4.4 Meter Sedan and although bonet end not complete visibile, but few drives and you will be at ease in terms of gap and distance.
Now Turning radius although as standard remains as 5.3 Meter but steering remains light in Honda city and ease on corners

Overall will comment that

2. No issues to drive on conjested space too - the width is not extended . At 1748 mm its almost similar to as what got in Hatchback like Baleno at 1745 mm. You get Power Fold ORVM and if too much conjestion on side - may close same on click

3. Although its a bigger car, but biggest USP is 1.5 Litre Ivtec Petrol engine which has sufficient low end torque
Car has enough low end power delivery along with creep mode. In bumper to bumper traffic can just drive by pressing brake and go
You will sheer fall in love with convenience

4. While driving in Night you also get Auto Dimming IRVM Mirror which is a boon in world of motorist driving with high beam light

Coming to Choice of Slavia or City
Despite of Sedan both are altogether different choices.
Slavia: To summarize is for buyer who love driving to core in terms of speed, high speed handling, enthu drive with fun character
City : To Summarize is for comfort, relaxed drive, linear pickup with plush experience on good city and good highway roads

Rest City has impeccable reliablity and after near 2 yrs of launch can say that all initial niggles been resolved and can confirm that scores much high on reliability as against newly launched competition cars.

For Discount Deal Suggestion
If you have multi Honda car dealer showroom in your location, best is to involve and negotiate a deal in a way explained in video

Hope should help !!
