Hi sir

I have 1999 santro which has high seating position for driver as well as good headroom. I bought Vw vento 5 years back but I find driver seating position low and less headroom also. I need a car where there is high driver seating position as well as good headroom. Also panoramic sunroof will help in not making me claustrophobic.
I test drove creta and Alcazar . I liked the Alcazar because of more space . Does it have high driver seating position as well as good headroom? Any other car you would recommend as per my requirement

Thanks and regards

Dear Sir,

Yes Alcazar is designed to be marginally taller and this translates in marginal space front
Although will say that difference is marginal

The difference which you may have noticed could be due to adjustment of seat where Alcazar seat may be adjusted in slight lower as against Creta Position. I suggest to check once more if you plan for Alcazar as although difference is there but its marginal - may be 1/2 an inch at max

Anyway If you seek
> High Seating Position
> Panoramic Sunroof
> Reasonable impressive Headroom

then why Alcazar - although car is pretty well stocked in features but car 2nd row and 3rd row are cramped
I mean - its Creta but with marginal longer wheelbase and marginal more headroom with bigger 2 Litre Engine - but
> 2nd Row legroom space is limited against Creta
> 3rd Row is pretty cramped with poor legroom

Either Creta Sx Option which feels like lot better Pick or if you seek alternative buy then MG Hector Sharp CVT Automatic
I suggest to test drive in MG Hector Sharp CVT - feels like
> Pretty Refined with Smooth Pickup
> Excellent Headroom with Large Panoramic Sunroof
> Handling although will not say the best for enthusiasts, but for comfort and ease - you will never complain in it
> Spacious Car
> MG Feels like feature loaded, refer details on MG Hector Smart CVT

Hector do available as Hector Plus too - but again in that car 3rd row is not practical and best to avoid Hector PLus too

So, recommendation
> Pls check Creta again - difference is marginal with Alcazar could be due to seat adjustment
> MG Hector Sharp CVT Automatic is a great alternative to Creta

May check out,

Hi Sir

I prefer Hyundai to MG motors for service, quality, trust. Regarding Creta, 1.5 IVT petrol I tested and found engine bit struggling when I had to get car out of basement slop on to the road during test ride. Regarding Creta 1.4 DCT, Hyundai DCT gear box is not reliable as per many forum like team bhp creta owners. Regarding 2.0 petrol Alcazar, power of engine is better than creta. what do you say? I dont want diesel since usage is less and i want to use car for as long as possible. I am still using my brother's santro 1999 model ptetrol car

Well sir,

Every Engine - Transmission has a way to experience and derive the best out of it
Although you seem like made up mind to not to go with DCT Turbo but following the best practice delivers a great experience

Pls refer
1. DCT Overheating Solution

Also there are more than 50,000 of cars been sold in last 2 yrs in form of Creta DCT / Seltos DCT as accounts for near 20% of sales
Had the magnitude of the issue would have been so higher - internet would have flooded with issues reported from owners of DCT Variants.

Anyhow we respect your call and if in case you seek a Petrol Car
> With Panoramic Sunroof
> Superior Engine Performance

Ofcourse Alcazar suits more, but rear seat space management is real bad in this car and if thats not a deal breaker then should consider same.

Hope should help !!
