> Been this 1 Litre TSI Engine is plonked to offer better fuel efficiency. expect in 12 Kmpl in Real World drive condition in city and 15 to 16 Kmpl on highway is a possibility and a reasonable expectation

Hi,

Polo GT TSI is what recommended as in Automatic Transmission for effortless drive and experience

If you seek Manual Transmission Petrol and seek convenience of drive in sense that there is no manual clutch pedal then - Kia Sonet 1.0 HTX IMT. Biggest USP
> Sonet is the most stylish car in sub 4 meter segment we have in Indian Market
> HTX IMT is feature loaded and few months back got Alloy Wheel as an upgrade other than ESP (although yes prices were increased too)
> Impressive Highway dynamics, high speed handling (although due to firm suspension - will find ride to be more stiffer in city condition
> Boot Space is impressive at 400 Litre Plus
> Mid range is pretty impressive post 2000 rpm - car enters to a new zone

However
> Only downside is that car safety rating is not available and post Seltos crash test - theres definite question
> Secondly, IMT should not be confused with Automatic Transmission - it require manual upshift and downshift of gears. If downshift not done in sync with speed. Like retaining 5th gear or 6th gear on low speed like 20 Kmph - then car will enter in limp mode. So one need to change gear as per recommended speed

In terms of Mileage - anything around 12 Kmpl can be a decent expectation

For Kia Sonet Diesel Manual: Well this engine is
> Definite to enthusiast taste. Lively and Performance oriented
> Lower Running Cost with 15 Kmpl+ Mileage in city and 20+ Mileage on highway

But when you have
> Budget
> Requirement of Solo Usage

Convenience to drive becomes an important factor. Clutch in Diesel Cars remains slight on heavier note as against Petrol one

My Suggestion -
> if flexible to increase budget a bit and seek a car with lowest running cost yet with convenience of drive - Kia Sonet HTX Diesel Automatic
> If seek convenience, build, performance and handling in a Petrol Car - VW Polo GT TSI
> If seek combination of stylish car, feature loaded yet with added convenience of relaxed left foot - Kia Sonet HTX Plus IMT Petrol

Hope should help !!

Hi Sure,

See Standard Insurance covers
> 1 Year Comprehensive cover
> 3 Year Third Party Cover

However, for peace of mind can get comprehensive coverage including
> Zero Dep - which covers depreciation aspect
> Engine Protection cover - which covers engine damage due to water ingress in engine while on the go or damage to engine due to oil leak while on the move
> Return to Invoice - covers car at 100% of invoice value including road tax as new car is suspectible to theft
> Consumable cover - covers oil & fluids, nut & bolt if required to be replaced due to accident

By opting for these cover can have peace of mind ownership
For Insurance savings - pls check online with leading players like HDFC Ergo, Tata AIG and may choose a company offering competitive quote

Hope should help !!

Dear Bhavin

It all depends on buyer preference on what he gives more wieghtage too

Sonet HTX IMT
> Convenient to drive as no manual clutch pedal
> Final on road price can be lower to extent of 50K (taking Delhi as base)

Sonet HTX Diesel
> Almost 30% lower running cost. Considering 10,000 Kms yearly running - expect minimum Rs 20K savings in fuel cost - although after factoring in yearly Insurance premium and service cost - net savings could be Rs 15K

Point is if you intend to hold car for say 7 yrs - final ownership cost for HTX IMT would be just 50K higher but at that say will get freedom from manual clutch pressing and creep mode - this makes Sonet HTX IMT better value proposition.

Hope should help !!
