Dear Mycarhelpline Team,

Can you please advise the best CVT car under 10-11 lakhs onroad price (Hyderabad)

I am looking for best car which is feature rich, modern as well as with good build quality. . It would be for a family car and used both city and highway use ( for trips and travel minimum 1000kms at a stretch). I am considering following three cars.

Honda Jazz CVT
Honda Amaze CVT
Renault Kiger CVT

I am not interested in Baleno and i20 as the build quality is not great. I checked for Nissan Magnite CVT as well but that has long waiting time.

Please let me know if there is any other CVT car as well which is best one apart from these.

Thank you.

Dear Raj,

Honda Amaze CVT is a great choice for buyers looking primarily for city usage (having 90%+ requirement within city)
> Tuned for city usage with light steering, low turning radius
> Suspension on soft side for comfort oriented ride
> Light weight hence tuned for better fuel efficiency
> Feels slight more agile due to light body weight

But somehow Highway dynamics are not impressive
> Light Steering do not offer much feedback on highway drive
> Soft suspension do not infuse confidence and stability on highway

So, If you considering a choice in Honda Car Range in among Amaze CVT and Jazz CVT then as a product
> Jazz feels more stable with better grip on highway
> More Sturdy with upmarket interiors
> Steering feedback is better on highway space

and in between Amaze CVT and Jazz CVT as a product - Jazz CVT is what recommended pick.

Now when Renault Kiger CVT is bought in action then Kiger CVT is great pick from
> Car with raised ground clearance
> Renault also offering great space in cabin
> Despite of CVT - light weight and offers good fuel efficiency

But, if you compare from
> Fit and Finish
> Plastic Quality
> High Speed Handling
> After Sales Service feedback
> Reliability aspect

its Honda Cars India which what leads in against Renault
So to view Honda Jazz Vx CVT or Zx CVT is what recommended pick and overall best buy for need, consideration

You can check on detailed features of Honda Jazz Zx CVT

Hope should help !!

Dear Admin,

Thanks for your response. As per your suggestion, it looks like Jazz CVT is better compared to Amaze CVT and Kiger CVT. I would consider that as my first preference. If at all we go with Kiger CVT (ok with interior plastic quality considering the space, features and price range), will it be a bad choice for long term use as primary car?

Also, is i20 CVT build quality bad as baleno cvt or i20 CVT also can be considered? Please advise.

Thanks.

Hi,

Issue with Kiger is
> After Sales service feedback where renault not doing well. Somehow Renault featuring at bottom for last few years in Customer satisfaction index
> Plastic Quality, Fit and Finish which is pretty average

Rest as a product - Kiger CVT is great choice. Although yes some amount of vibration felt on idling due to 3 cylinder engine but its not bothersome
Reason for Honda is peace of mind ownership, engine NVH, After sales and slight better steering feedback against Renault

Hope should help !!

Dear Admin,

Thanks for your response.

Can we consider Hyundai i20 CVT as well or Honda Jazz CVT better compared to Hyundai i20 CVT (Sportz)

Thank you

Hi,

Hyundai I20 IVT is a great choice in terms of all new generation I20
> Stylish
> High on Reliability
> Ideal for city use and with kerb weight reduced by 10% in all new generation model - performance is much better
> Much more spacious than all generations of I20 - infact legroom is generous and at par with Jazz (only seats are placed slight lower)

But,
> From high speed steering feedback
> Build Quality has a question to it as Hyundai owned Kia scored 3 star in Seltos crash rating with structure marked unstable

If you seek a family car for both city and highway usage - somehow Jazz scores better to view
Hope should help !!

Hi,

Thanks for your response. I see that Honda Jazz is the best out of the lot in the range of 10-11 lakhs (CVT).

Am also impressed with Kiger CVT RXT.. Confused between Jazz CVT and Kiger CVT RXT. If i go with Kiger (understanding the interior quality and service), is the build quality a thing to concern? Please advise. Thanks.

Hi,

Nop Build Quality is not a concern especially after fact that
> Nissan Magnite scored 4 star in ASEAN NCAP
> Renault Triber scored 4 Star in Global NCAP

Been Magnite and KIger share same platform and same sheet metal quality
Theres no concern on Kiger Build basis proven NCAP Ratings
