Hello,
I'm 60 yrs of age and looking for a SUV - new or used segment. If used car, I am looking for branded luxury cars like a BMW, Mercedes, or an Audi.
I like a spacious cabin, decent seating height unlike a sedan, good pick up, good suspension, and good styling. I'm okay for Petrol / Diesel.
I don't want TATA, Mahindra, Jeep vehicles. I have test driven the Seltos / Creta, and I find the cabin space a little small. Moreover, these cars are available from 12 lks to 21 lks, which does not validate or conform to my investment.
My daily driving is only 2/3 kms. Occasional long drive happens over once in 3 months.
Let me your suggestion as to which SUV I should go for.
Thanks

Hello ,

Greetings !!

As i understand you looking for
> Performance Pick up
> Great Suspension
> Styling Aspect

See if you just seek the very best of experience - i will suggest to check out Used Ford Endeavour 3.2 - 2016 to 2017 Model likely be available in the desired price range. Why this SUV ?
> This 3.2 Litre large capacity Diesel Engine with 200 PS Power and 470 NM Torque is like a real Performance beast can expect on
> Excellent - rather should say a car with immaculate suspension which can simply glide on bad roads / any terrain roads with absolute ease
> The Down point of this SUV is 3rd Row. I presume you wont be requiring 3rd Row. Just fold it and use it as a great all round spacious 5 Seater SUV with loads of legroom, headroom space
> Car just looks Wow with a differentiating road presence

A Great all rounder pickup and possibly a product which has potential in performance, suspension, road presence, space as a great pick

Alternatively if you seek higher up then Landrover Discovery Sport. Its a SUV - shall say real SUV with
> Immaculate Handling
> Performance
> Lot of Space as better than Audi, Beemer, Benz
> Road Presence
> Dream of Experiencing Real SUV

May check out 2015 Model if can get in close to your price or slight strectched.

Hope should help !!

Hi Thanks for your response.
I have a few issues on your recommendations.
The Ford Endeavour is a tall car, and also big in size. I self drive my vehicle, and hence sometimes parking becomes a hassle.
Discovery Sport may be a beyond my reach, as there are hardly any second hand vehicles available in Chennai
Can you help identify a good Discovery Sport.
Any other alternate vehicle. How about the new Citroen, C5 Aircross. I liked the vehicle after test driving. But, since being a new launch, I am doubtful if they would sustain their existence for long in India. Only 2 variants, and hardly any presence and mostly unknown in the market yet.
Let me know any other options if I can stretch my budget to 30.
Thanks

Dear Ravi Sir,

Hi - Yes Citroen C5 Aircross biggest despite been a fair competent car in
> Space
> Possibly the best suspension set up
> Upmarket Feel

But issue came in due to pricing where the car On road price touches in from 35 Lakh onwards in almost all cities which got thumbs down response as despite of car been in SUV Segment is not able to sell in even 500 units in first 4 months - which is less than 15 days sale of full size SUV like Ford Endeavour or Toyota Fortuner

Although they have plans to introduce in Citroen C3 which will be unveiled in next month with production and delivery to begin from 2022 to help and sustain in Citroen brand. But the segment is quiet competitive with Magnite, Kiger at lower end to Venue, Sonet 1.2 to Brezza, Nexon, XUV300, Turbo edition of Venue, Sonet and all - would be a tough task

Anyhow coming to point on next car - as i understand you dint liked in Creta, Seltos due to space aspect
My suggestion to you to check out Hyundai Tucson. Although this car is available in Petrol engine but dont expect much from 2 Litre Petrol Engine, my recommendation is to opt for Tucson GLS Diesel where On road price will be like 31 Lakh but
> 2 Litre Diesel Engine has lot of grunt
> Quiet well spacious packaged sUV - will find no dearth of space
> Feature loaded with Lifestyle Features
> 5 Year / 50,000 Kms Standard Wonder Warranty without any extra cost for buyers having relative low running
> Quiet well reliable and considering price point will find service cost pretty much competitive

May check out. Am sure will cherish in experience
Hope should help !!
