Dear Mr.Gagan Modiji,

Believe you are doing well. Can i ask your personal response pl. I personally like your frank/not Dikhava wala attitude

As per your last suggestion and my willingness i booked during Feb 2021 - XUV300 W8 O Diesel AMT Dual tone.
Till date i have not got delivery from the Dealer inspite of tweeting Anand Mahindra.
Expecting delivery in August 2021.

I would request to suggest if any alternative to my choice mentioned above.

Budget approx. 16 lakhs
Good built
Safety is important
80% local & 20% Highway
Back seat is really important
Preference SUV only(because of liking)
Per day driving 60km over all month between 1200-1500
Preference Auto gear system
I neeed if not excellent, good interiors
Boot can be around 300ltrs-even i am ok with XUV300 Boot

I have heard Mahindra called back Diesel Suvs not sure who all were they.. what is your take on this pl

Pl suggest suitable option.

Thanks
Regards

Hi Srinivasj ji,

Taigun is Kushaq only with cosmetic enhancements

Anyway, i have not experienced in XUV700 - but if seek to raise in budget then may be at 20 Lakh -
> Upcoming Mahindra XUV700 Ax5 Diesel Automatic
or
> Tata Harrier XMA which too is great family car choice

Some of my knowns who experienced in XUV700 speaks high for capabilities.
Can be quiet an exciting proposition.

Haanji Saab Kaisehai Aap! this is our tag line sir for us now and we feel good about in different groups.

Dear Gaganji

I wonder you haven't come out with a specific review on Kushaq & Taigun. though there is a comparison video by you on Skoda Kushaq vs Creta.
I saw Kushaq the interiors are so bad, rear seat is so small for 3 average passengers.

I thought of expanding my budget to 18-19lakhs(from 16lakhs) what is your suggestion:

1) We are family of 5: Kids now become teenagers/Adults average built.
2) Safety, good built
3) Need good power to drive all 5, performance oriented SUV (or even 4 on highway & local)
4) 80% local & 20% highway
5) If i want bigger boot then XUV 300.
6) Good features

I saw Creta Executive(Music system showroom would fix and igve), Nissan Kics CVT 1.33P Turbo.. Kushaq rear is small..

any suggestion you have

Regards

PS: hope you wouldn't mind several questions. My apologies if i trouble you..

Be assured Sir !!

Its a great choice in terms of
> Power Delivery
> Safety Rating
> Space Aspect
> Very competitive scheduled service cost
> Fully Loaded top of line model

Although yes sound insulation levels not as great and AMT is not torque convertrer
But if you go gentle on Accelerator and dont drive on too much of bad roads then be assured XUV300 AMT is great pick

Hope should help !!

Hi Srinivas ji,

Although we stay in India but has different rules everywhere :-

> in Telangana - is what discount factored for road tax calculation purpose
> In Punjab, Chandigarh, Gujarat, Jharkhand and possibly Himachal - road tax calculated on base price (i.e price before GST of car)

Rest in all other states, Union Territories is what road tax calculated on exshowroom price only and no discount factored in same.

Hope should help !!

Dear Gaganji

I still decide to go with Mahindra as i do not like the Nexon rear design at all. Sonet is no for me because of safety as you rightly pointed and of course rear space.

India Garrage has shared a revised quote and base price of 13,33,202/-. But offered me discount. This discount is not reduced from base price.

Because of this i have to pay more Registration & life tax(Discount benefit is not given for TAxes), When i asked about this the dealer has said Base price is flowing form Mahindra to VAAHAN portal and tax has to be paid on Rs.13,33,202/-. due to this i loose 10k.
can you pl clraify the version of dealer is right or any mischief in this?

Thanks

Hello Srinivas ji.

Greetings !!

Thats really sad on part of Mahindra to unable deliver in XUV300 in last 5 months

Been
> Automatic Car
> Safety as Important Criteria with Good Build

Well, let me tell you - there are quiet limited (just 2 cars) which falls in budget in Diesel SUV Segment (if not XUV300)

> Kia Sonet: Somehow only 2 apprehensions - Build Quality (especially after Seltos crash test rating) and Rear Seat not as comfy as otherwise expected

> Tata Nexon Diesel AMT: This car is much improvised and if not XUV300 then poses a serious contender in consideration list for top of line Model Variant. Impressive Build, Safety, Interios fit and finish is acceptable. Diesel is what strength and AMT response if not best - still reasonable satisfactory

For Nexon yes sound insulation levels not as great and theres relative higher engine noise but be assured present Nexon we have now is lot better value proposition and XZA Plus AMT at 11.89 Lakh is a great pick in
a) Performance in Sports Mode - will really enjoy the fun to drive aspect with lag free revv friendly performace
b) ESP, 5 Star Build Quality
c) Good recline angle at rear seat, headroom space good till 5'10" passenger at rear, Scopped seat for superior legroom
d) 3 Tone Interior is pleasing and with new digital instrument cluster is good to go
e) Sound clarity is reasonable impressive
f) Impressive Steering feedback (although not like VW, Skoda) but still reasonable

My recommendation to you is to check out Tata Nexon XZA Plus Diesel AMT - if not XUV300 will be a great consideration too.
Also for top of line models - waiting is relative lesser - so should get car early

Hope should help !!
