Dear Joe
Greetings !!
See Polo is a 3 Cylinder engine car, and although its not like typical 3 cylinder engine as seen in budget segment but
> Engine noise is slight there on higher speed
> Marginal vibrations at idling felt
Having said same from
> Power Performance perspective you will love in smooth mid range
> Very impressive Build Quality - infact a notch better than segment above
> High speed dynamics are lot better than any other car in segment. Will love Steering feedback
> Its not a soft suspension, but still not very stiff and USP is high speed grip levels are better
Polo Comfortline TSI is a great choice provided as long as you looking for
> Majority of drive with front passengers / solo drive
> Rear seat not to be much used or if used by kids / average physique with someone of height 5'3" or less
> Not to be used by elederly as they placed slight lower
However, yes Slight Lag under 2000 rpm is observant
So if one adjust driving style by down-shifting can get best from Polo
Alternate Choice
Provided ready to exceed in budget a bit - to extent of Rs 70K and seek a car where rear seat to be used by senior members of family - check out Toyota Urban Cruiser Mid (as rebadged Brezza Vxi) with reasons
> This is a 4 cylinder engine and as such tuned for excellent comfort in city drive
> Very impressive for Lower End In city drive-ability
> Relative Easy Ingress / Egress if seek a car where rear seat to be used by senior members of family
> Suspension dynamics are quiet impressive for city conditions
> Very Reliable, Proven Car with Superior after sales service experience
But, downside
> Toyota (rebadged Maruti) has very average plastic quality
> Interior aesthetics - rather will find it too boring in 2021
> Speed beyond 100 Kmph not recommended as engine noise will start entering
> Steering feedback beyond 100 not the best - feels mediocre
> Rear Seat are placed slight upright
Suggest to have test drive
To view - great choice cars.
