This is going to be my first car. I do not want to stretch my budget beyond 12.5 L. I have liked Nexon Petrol variant(2021 model) too, However after test driving Ecosport Diesel BS6 variant, I am inclined towards going for a diesel engine as there is noticeable performance difference while driving. Problem is, Nexon Diesel variants are priced 2 Lacs more than their petrol counterparts. I came across a used car listing for XUV 300 W8(O) diesel variant. Price listed on cars 24 is 10.3L . The car is non accidental and ran for around 19K kilometers with couple of minor scratches on door sides, alloy wheels. They have listed oil spillage on idle as minor imperfection in engine. I am fairly new to cars market to know how major/minor that issue is and have several questions in mind.
1. I am yet to inspect the car myself but assuming information on listing is correct, Is it a good market value for the car as described above?
2. How good is Cars24 as a platform, I see several people complaining about the delays in RC transfer process and issues with honoring warranty. I get that those complains may not highlight both sides and many details such as age and condition of car so wanted to know from the forum about their feedback of Cars 24.
3. Is XUV 300 W8(O) Diesel a good option for used car? (It's likely going to be BSIV variant, so concerned about BS6 diesel issues i read on some sites).
4. If it's good option to consider, what precautions/ steps I should take to make sure i do not get a problematic car.
