Greetings !!

As i understand that you require a SUV or Sedan primarily for
> City Usage
> Non Maruti Cars

Basis, budget specified and priorities mentioned - best recommended choice would be Honda Amaze Vx Model (if ready to slight exceed budget by Rs 40K to 50K) with strong reasons in favor
> Suspension is tuned for soft side, delivers comfort Oriented Ride
> Light Steering, Light Clutch and Segment Lowest Turning Radius makes it a brezze for in city drive
> 4 Star Safety Rated in Global NCAP Crash Test
> Honda Reliability is second to none and Amaze comes with service interval of once a year @ 10,000 Kms and 5 Year Warranty. Scheduled Maintenance cost are very reasonable, may check - Amaze Service Cost
> Fuel Efficiency of Amaze - well wont rate it excellent but due to light weight can still get in close to 13 Kmpl in City and close to 16 to 17 Kmpl on Highway
> Infotainment is upgraded to Digipad 2.0 with Android Auto, Apple Car Play. The touch system althought not exceptional but basis overall sound clarity, Navigation aspect is decent pick

Alternate Choice: Hyundai I20 Sportz where again Hyundai I20 yes is what a perfect car for city usage
> Spaciious, Light Steering, Light Clutch
> Available with Intutive Touchscreen response with Android Auto, Apple Car Play
> Has all features to make city drive a brezze - Rear Defogger, Highline Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Rear View Camera, Automatic Headlight on in Low Visibility, Electric Foldable ORVM with Turn Indicators
> We soon going to publish in New I20 Service cost on to site, but as per our study I20 emerged among lowest in scheduled service cost
> Been weight shed off to almost 100 Kg, expect fuel efficiency of I20 even better than Honda Amaze
> Available with standard safety of ABS, EBD, Dual Airbags. Pre Gen Elite I20 got 3 star, expect New I20 to be similar in same
> Been you drive in controlled speed - I20 Steering yes to disclam is light and dont offer much feedback on higher speed, but basis fact that you limit speed - I20 would be good to go

If you consider SUV'ish then
From Comfort Oriented Drive factor only SUV meeting your choice basis
> Soft Suspension
> Plush Ride

would either be Brezza/Urban Cruiser and xUV300
But Brezza been Maruti Product which you dont seek, Urban cruiser is too Maruti Badged one and would also exceeed budget
XUV300 W4 is very bare basic in features infact lack touchscreen and no rear seat head rest

For other one -Venue, Sonet and Ecosport Suspension is on stiffer side, rear seat space is slight restricted

In terms of Nexon XM meet other requirement but
> Fuel Efficiency wont be good
> Thick A Pillar - not best where maximum use in City
> Scheduled Service cost higher

Last Pick - Honda WRV can be good to consider for you basis need requirement specified but the car will exceed you budget

Overall Pick
So - if majority of drive to be in city use where you control speed limit, my recommendation would be to consider one among
> Honda Amaze Vx
> Hyundai I20 Sportz Petrol

as the best overalll choice for need specified.

Sure, but as you referred 2 key priorities as of
> Safety
> Infotainment System

and ignored Maruti Suzuki Cars from list

Let me tell you to the available info Renault CMF-A platform as what used in Kwid performed miserably
Same platform is what used in Triber and Magnite also based on this platfrom

Somehow from safety aspect in terms of
> Build Quality
> CMF-A Architecture

is concerning and the infotainment experience of Touchscreen does not at all deliver a decent experience.

If Kids seek SUV Car: and usage maximum in city and you dont want Maruti Suzuki Cars then consider in
> Hyundai Venue S
> Kia Sonet HTK

Infact Venue S is within budget and suspension not as stiff as Sonet.
Spend Rs 50K in accessories like
> Alloy Wheel
> Touchscreen like Sony XAV Ax5000 (6.95 Inch) by replacing stock unit

Am sure experience will be relative better
