Hi Seeking your help as I am going to do the PDI today & if all goes well will pay the Registration amount for my Hyundai Aura Sx+ Amt

Have already paid the downpayment to the dealer.

I negotiated with the dealer & got a discount of Rs.29581 (screenshot attached) on the on road price.

Now i seek your help if i can get the insurance done by self rather than from the dealership as they are charging Rs 42,262 for the insurance.

Dealership is saying they can give this discount only if I avail everything in the proforma invoice.

Greetings !!

Pls find pointers

At PDI You can share in VIN Number with us, will decode same for you to let know Production Date and other important details

For Discount: Well as i can see that dealer showroom referred discount amount of Rs 29581 in mail and also stated simultaneously the final On road price after applicable discounts, which possibly was accepted by you at time of booking. So, technically as per him - he is correct that he has offered you a deal in terms of on road price and same was accepted at time of making booking

But, there is a catch. Showroom offered in
> Comprehensive Insurance - Rs 42252

> Zero dep + 1 year RTI and Engine Protection cover - Rs 8174

which makes to Rs 50,426 - making it an overinflated insurance premium considering fact that Hyundai Aura AMT which is what priced at Rs 804800. Its implies Insurance premium @ 6.25% of ex-showroom price which is way higher than average insurance premium as charged on cars.

Here is quotation of

Royal Sundaram

As can be seen that premium as charged by dealer showroom is higher to extent of Rs 15,000 to Rs 24,000 when compared against 3 prominent companies.

Its like charging in inflated premium and offering discounts over to it
Even Hyundai has its own consumer offers for the month, which is what
> Rs 10,000 Cash Discount
> Rs 5000 Corporate Discount
Also, Hyundai offers special vendor level benefits which is what internal to Manufacturer and offered on select models from time to time

Suggest to ask dealer on breakup on how discounts are offered to you with breakup of consumer offer, vendor discount, corporate discount
Been, looks like that Dealer charged in a higher insurance premium and then offered discount to it, suggest to connect with HMIL ASM and take him in loop as you been referred by him and explain situation of Insurance online and dealer quote

Am sure if he intervenes, can get committed discount along with flexibility of online premium
Hope should help !!
