Hello sir,
I am a regular follower of your youtube channel and i really appreciate your informative videos other than just reviews.

We're planning to buy a new car. I am a student and i won't be spending much time with the car. Both my parents are teachers and my sister is also a student but lives with my parents.

Our initial budget was around 10-11 lakhs onroad. Once we started searching. We really got fond of compact suvs. My preference is to go for a top end in any car so we decided to extend our loan term and we finally decided in between XUV 300 W8[O] manual and VENUE SX[O] 1.0 IMT petrol among all other compact Suvs.

We really liked the both cars but we couldn't book xuv 300 as we faced some issues in loan processing and we have to pay around 30k for accessories apart from our expected budget. So..we booked venue imt on around 20 oct and they said the delivery will be during diwali. it's almost been a month already but now we are informed that it willbbe delivered around dec 1 or 2nd week.

On the other side mahindra said that they will also deliver almost by dec15 if we book it nowthe loan prbm also got cleared and as accessories are optional we thought of going just with some basic things

Although we already booked venue imt, the main things bothering me are comfort and safety. IMT will be very comfortable for my family in driving as they'rein their starting 50s but somehow unconsciously it raises a question about safety though it's a top end which makes me tilt towards XUV 300I hope ur answer will help in making our decision easier and better

By now our monthly running is bare minimum...we're expecting transfer of our parents soon..even after that it will be around 1200-1500 km per month.

Thank you very much sir

Dear Sanjeev,

Greetings !!
I understand in your requirements from
> Safety
> Convenience
> Usage Perspective

and can tell you that Hyundai Venue Sx Option IMT is the car you should go in for with strong reasons in favor

Convenience: Yes IMT is convenient for essential 3 major reasons
> Freedom from Manual Clutch Intervention, one can relax in left foot and drive car with absolute ease - especially useful in day to day city usage

> Creep Mode where Venue will go on as like an automatic car is and creep mode available in both 1st gear and 2nd gear and makes it a breeze as driver can use it like an Automatic car by just control on brakes without any response on accelerator needed

> For any one who is not an experienced driver or in learning stage will be very happy with IMT as car wont stall

However, yes there is slight more weight which is what felt on gear stick as against Venue Manual Transmission, but not something which can be problematic. Its all about getting slight used to with this marginal higher weight on gear stick

Safety: See its a fact that Mahindra XUV300 is what rated 5 star in Global NCAP and comes with best in class safety experience.
Indian Venue is not what crash tested, but Venue as sold in Australia got 4 star safety rating having similar safety as in Indian Version with 6 Airbags with added radar brake assist. Indian Venue missed on radar brake assist

But, having said same majority of drive is going to be in city and Venue Sx Option is loaded with fully loaded safety
> 6 Airbags
> ABS EBD Brake Assist
> ESP. Traction Control
> Tyre Pressure Monitoring System

and as i undestand that you belong to family of learned professionals - will follow speed limit and traffic rules
Venue comes with impressive braking and for city usage is near perfect
Remember - its the driver skill which plays utmost importance along with average speed and followed by car safety features

Usage Perspective : Basis Usage Perspective for family of 3 to 4 members at a time and a car from Reliability and Lowest Maintenance - Hyundai leads ahead and yes Hyundai comes with segment lowest scheduled service cost which is what a driving force along with reliability
A piece of advice - dont miss on extended warranty for 4th and 5th year as IMT is slight a new concept to ensure peace of mind ownership.

Hope should help !!
