Resolved I am planning to buy a new car and my budget is around 13.5 lakhs so I'd like an opinion about it.

Considering requirement of a SUV for 5 Adults - well pl note that

> Kia Sonet
as felt to be relative compact in the rear seat Space.

Not only Legroom space is compact but even shoulder room space is compact and 3 adults on rear seat would be what need to squeeze in
In case of exception for someone with
> Average height of 5'3"
> Average Physique of 3 can seat in - but that too with shoulder room space slight tight

If you seek rather a better buy and for occasional usage
Recommending in yes
a) Kia Seltos HTK Plus instead of Creta S with primary 3 reasons:
> Available with higher features as Alloy Wheels,
> Yes will find it more Stylish and Premium as against Creta
> You can enjoy in long distance travel with better firmness on seats and also firm suspension along with superior steering feedback and body roll is relative well contained



b) Choose in fully loaded XUV300 W8 Option Petrol - which recently got price cut and SUV now economical to extent of Rs 90,000 on road
> XUV300 actually for international markets was a full size SUV but cut short by chopping boot and other changes to make it a Sub 4 Meter car
> Wheelbase at 2600mm is longest in segment and even is widest car among all and gets adjustable head restraints for all 3 rows
> Turbo Petrol Engine is what fun to drive with 200 NM and suspension dynamics on good city roads are well sorted
> Lastly - Fully Loaded Features with 5 star safety rating with highest active, passive safety and also good styling, convenience features


So, best recommended choices are
> Kia Seltos HTK Plus Petrol
or
> Mahindra XUV300 W8 Option Petrol

as better suited cars basis need, requirement

A few more questions,

For Kia Seltos, we don't get features like Automatic Climate Control and it feels like a compromise in safety features since it does not get rear disc brakes(for the petrol variant in HTK+) and has just 2 airbags. So do you feel is it worth the money considering the lack of safety features, lack of interior features, and there seems to be front lighting problem (as I read in customer reviews)? Just wanting to get the best value for money in 13.5 lakhs

Kia seltos lacks rear disc brakes in petrol HTK+, it has 2 airbags and there seem to be user complaints in front projector lamps as well, so is that a compromise on safety?
Kia seltos does not have automatic climate control, should that be a big enough factor to not consider it?

Just wanting to get the best value for money car, hence considering these lacks of features, is Kia Seltos really worth it?

Brakes
Rear disc brakes do makes a difference but Brakes are reasonable impressive in Kia Sonet and car stops in a go
However, to disclaim driven higher up model variants which comes with all 4 disc brakes and yes found braking top notch

Been HTK Plus lacks rear disc brakes - so it yes cant match in braking experience as what model with all 4 disc brakes

But having said same -
> Driven Sonet which is available with front disc and rear brake drum having same braking system as Sonet and yes braking was reasonable impressive with good brake bite
> Rear disc brakes are what which edges in case of sudden sharp braking from high speed. Like pressing panic brake at sped of say 80 or higher to let even shorten the braking distance by few meter.

Dual Airbags
Unfortunately - both Kia and Hyundai restricted 6 Airbags only to top of line model variants
so much so that only Seltos GT Line gets 6 Airbags and none of the model in Petrol techline gets same and GT Line Manual starting range is almost rs 5 Lakh higher approx as against Seltos HTK PLus

If you seek uncompromised safety then yes Mahindra XUV300 is rather a better choice with 7 AIrbags, All 4 disc brakes, ESP and lot more safety features with proven 5 star safety rating

Automatic climate control
Not a big deal. Atleast has Manual AC with Rear AC Vents for comfort

For Value for Money
See - it depends - for someone
> who seek best in class uncompromised safety with good sturdy build (XUV300 scored 5 star in NCAP in car with dual airbags - top model available with 7 Airbags offering very best)
> Yet a good seating comfort on rear seat
> Peppy Petrol Engine with good mid range
> Do not need large boot space

then XUV300 W8 Option is an excellent choice

Having said same, seek
> Stylish SUV and what the leader in charts
> Car with even better rear seat comfort
> Car which drives like a SUV having stiffer suspension
> Impeccable refinement in 1.5 Litre Petrol Engine

Hi, thanks for removing the confusion from my mind. I am planning to book Kia Seltos HTK+ Petrol in a week. Any suggestions where I can negotiate with the dealer in order to get the price reduced.
