I love the fact that Nissan will launch Magnite SUV in low price, so my question is should i wait for Nissan Magnite or will Nissan discontinue operations by then. I heard that kicks turbo petrol despite of launching at 2 lakh lower is not been picked in sales as against Creta and Seltos, will the same thing will happen to Magnite.

Also, what do you want to comment on Nissan after sales service network

Greetings !!

Some Important info on Nissan Magnite
Nissan India showcased the concept version of Magnite SUV. Concept always looked interesting (see attached pic)
But what will and how much the car turns in production is still in unknown zone. Its expected that Nissan will showcase Magnite with
> 1 Litre, 3 cylinder Petrol Engine with 72 PS Power as what seen in Triber
> Also, 1 Litre Turbo Petrol Engine with 100 PS Power will likely also make its way to Magnite

Also, Magnite for differentiation will also offer in
> 360 degree camera in top of line model
> 8 Inch Touchscreen with Android Auto, Apple car play
> Cruise Control for convenience of those who do highway run for most of times
> Dual Front and Side Airbags would be what highlight of this car

Although base model can come at Rs 4.99 Lakh price to grab eyeballs - but top end fully loaded Magnite XV Premium (likely nomenclature) with 1 Litre Turbo Petrol may just be priced at Rs 7 to 7.5 Lakh ex-showroom Delhi in Manual Transmission, also is high probability that the car would also be introduced in CVT Automatic

Should i wait for Nissan Magnite or will Nissan discontinue operations
Nissan India wont discontinue operations till the final verdict of Magnite came
Yes - Nissan all mainstream cars
> Micra Active
> Micra
> Sunny
are discontinued and Kicks also got a major update in Turbo Petrol.
But - the future all depends on Magnite as thats the product the manufacturer aiming for success

But its also a reality
> Nissan Evalia
> Nissan Teana
> Nissan Terrano
> Nissan X-Trail

too all discontinued and Nissan network base is now all selling basis Datsun - where sales are low and Kicks where OEM is hopeful
I suggest to keep an eye for next 6 months towards Nissan India Sales - if sales turns too low it will just indicate a sign of more caution

Nissan after sales service network
Somehow Nissan Network is on decline and now restricted to 1 or 2 dealers having multiple showroom, service
> Bangalore has only Surya NIssan with multiple showroom and service
> Delhi has just Youwe Nissan with 2 showroom
> 1 dealer each in Noida, Gurgaon
> Etco Nissan in Mumbai having multiple showoom
> Landmark Nissan in Pune

So the network is now limited to 1 dealer
At a time when Nissan was planning to extend network to 300 dealers in 2015 - reality is Nissan showroom are in range of 100 to 120 showroom Pan India with total sales of last 1 year is just around 15000 units

Even if 100 Showroom sells that number cumulatively it means just 150 Units by a showroom in a year means strugging sales
Yes, number need to happen for sustainability.

Suggest to keep an eye on sales to decide the course of action
Hope should help !!
