hello sir,

I am buying a new creta ex petrol but the dealer is charging me 3000 handling charges and 6500 extra for RTO registration. I raised a complaint to Hyundai but they are not replying and the dealer is also not waving off the charges..please suggest how can I proceed forward.

thank you

Greetings !!

For RTO Registration
> For what account is the dealer charging this additional registration Fees over and above prescribed registration charges ?
> What were Dealer comments on overcharging for same ?
> Did you asked him to provide breakup of fees - Has dealer shared any written breakup or any recorded call conversation for same

See - Point is simple, in no way can a dealer over-charge beyond scheduled prescribed registration fees. Its only the prescrbed
> Road Tax : As per applicable slabs prescribed
> Registration Charges : Rs 600
> Municipality Charges : Only in Select Cities (if applicable)
> Hypothecation Fees : Rs 1500 (only if finance taken)
> HSRP Number Plate : Rs 240 to 500 (varies basis state to state)

If he is charging extra in name of commission or facilitation charge for getting registration done then same can even lead to trade license been nullfied by Transport Commissioner of the state as an extreme step

Sadly, if you have raised this point to Hyundai India and somehow are not replying.
You can even bring it to Social Media. But recommended to send Repeat email by escalating and if no response still
> Twitter by tweeting to respective Hyundai India Official, customer care
> Try to connect with local Regional Office of Manufacturer on same

about concern not specified and that too when car delivery yet to be taken

For Handling Charges
Although this is something which is a dark side about car purchase, as charging any amount as handling or logistics charge over and above 'ex-showroom price'of car only calls for an unauthorized amount

But to the latest feedback we have got that for a car like Creta which is on people choice radar and heavy waiting. As per Dealer the amount is very nominal of Rs 2540 as Handlng Fees as balance Rs 460 is towards 18% GST on to it been they issuing GST paid bill for it

The amount although low but is what something which is unexplained. Suggest pursue same basis facts and realities as explained in this video

If pitched correctly can even possibly get a waiver on same

Hope it help !!

he is charging an additional 6500 as RTO agent fees and when I said registration is on dealers side he replied.."gadi aap kharid rahe ho to aap hi doge agent ka brokerage cost" and for handling charges even customer care is saying you have to pay it.

Hello,

Brokerage fees on Registration
Theres no brokerage fees and is clear and who decide that rs 6500
If tommorrow they will start charging in rs 10000 would customer pay. Is this rs 6500 prescribed by RTO ?

Can you check with Maruti or Honda Showroom in city on registration fees on there cars (as example) and ask for breakup to actually find if they charging any such brokerage fees. It will just be 10 minute task and will help you put a detailed mail to Customer care of Manufacturer on practice and also may connect with Area Office too

Registration is Dealer responsibility and he need to get it done as per scheduled fees - not charging any brokerage
Am sure with a slight perseverance and check a detailed email and social media tagging will help you get it waived

Handling Charges
As referred in pl explain with post as mentioned of source url as mentioned on this post of - Handling Charge

Few exchange of emails and explaining the issue should help you in getting amount waived
Hope it help !!

@ Nitish Ramtekkar

All that is absurd as what the dealer showroom states
Suggest to raise to Manufacturer as advised earlier with details to be procured of competition brands and be presented to them
