Hello Gagan Ji,

I follow your youtube channel and get lots of information regarding cars. I have recently booked Creta EX 2020 and is ready to be delivered on 30th May, 2020 (proforma invoice attached). I have saved 12,000 on insurance and 8671 on Kit after watching your video on you tube. Thanks for it.

As far as my question is concerned,

What things to be considered and checked during PDI check up and you have also suggested me earlier in the fourm for TPMS, Dashcam, Alloywheels, Reverse parking Camera and fog lamps. please suggest details of brand i should choose and reliable shop/person, if you have any one in your mind.

If i get these things done from out side, is there any impact on warranty?? Should i opt for Extended Warranty which costs me Rs. 17000 approximately.

Showroom is providing me reverse parking camera whose display is on rear view mirror which i dont like. kindly suggest what to do. I am on tight budget too.

thanks and regards,

Shiva

Greetings !!

Great to hear that you saved in considerable amount !!
As Creta is a recently launched Model with dispatches to showroom started only in March 2020 then nothing much to worry about as this specific variant is also not offered as test drive to consumers

Still, recommended to Inspect
> Inspect Car in Broad day sunlight on Exteriors, Paint Uniformity to rule out any incident on car while bringing car to showroom. Also check under-bonet to have no abnormal sign or any repair etc

> Check and Inspect for Car Tyres Closely as if theres any flat spot on tyres which occured due to 2 month lockdown (probability of flat spot is there if car parked in same location for 2 months without moving it)

> Odometer reading should be less than 50 Kms

> Ask Sales Personnel to give you a brief demo. Check all lights, indicators, horn, steering, start the Engine - should be working easily. Have your friend or family member to be outside when you checking lights

For detailed checklist - Refer Car PDI Checklist

For Accessories Brands
> TPMS : Creta Ex already has low Air Pressure Warning Alert where a warning light illuminated on instrument cluster when tyre pressure drops by 25^. Theres no need to alter the sensor which is factory fitted in wheel.

> Dashcam: Go with DashCam which comes with app so as to check Real Time Footage Playback and Share Feature. Also the DVR should come with an Inbuilt feature wherein the Car recording should automatically move to Cloud Data, so that one can have previous recordings saved in,
In terms of brand Transcend is the leader having better visibility which is priced slight at premium. However if seek economical one but good quality though then 70 mai (Rs 6000 - 7000) or BlueSkySea B1W (Available in Rs 4000 to 5000) may even be chosen - No Impact on Warranty

> Alloywheels: Recommended to buy 16 Inch alloy wheel only, dont for 17 Inch alloys and the upgrade tyre - it would be very expensive. Check out - HRS, Plati, Prestige, X2, Enkei, Lenso, Yongle, Freeman. Neo Alloys - No Impact on Warranty

> Reverse parking Camera : Torq, Xenos, AutoCop are some of reputed one may check out. However they may come with separate display. if you want for infotainment then coupler to coupler wiring to be used without any modification or slice to stock wiring connected to infotainment, else warranty can be impacted. The Camera as given on IRVM based in actual is more convenient then to use in one having view with infotainment system. Suggest to check out once more that Hyundai based accessory.

> Fog lamps: If in case any original wiring sliced or modified then warranty will be impacted or sub-standard wiring used then warranty can be impacted. check any good retro fit center in zone for any good Philips Fog Light

Hope should help !!

Hi Sir,

Have been following your channel from the last couple of months and love your informative videos. I have a couple of questions for you. Would really appreciate if you could reply.

1. Is tyre size upgrade recommended in creta E model. From 16 to 17 (the size that comes in SX top variant)?
2. Is ceramic coating beneficial and worth? Should I go for it on my new black color creta?

Thank you,
Rahul
