I booked Tata Tiago XZA+ Petrol from Arya Tata. They charged logistics handling charges of rupees 6500 which I told them is illegal and should be removed. They told me that this is charged by Tata and they cannot remove.

I then raised the complaint at Tata Motors where they asked Dealer to clarify. On further discussion over mail they told me that the charges are as below:-

Fuel expenses for bringing the vehicles from stockyard to the location for delivery purpose ·
Fuel expenses for taking the vehicle to Register authority for registration purpose (if required) · Driver cost towards bringing the vehicle to the concerned location and to RTO · Fuel provided during delivery of the car · Re-polishing, cleaning, checking of vehicle · Delivery ceremony · Other expenses incurred towards making the car ready for delivery.

I then told them that these prices are not to be charged from the customer and it comes to dealers scope and asked them to give Price bifurcation. They denied to provide the prices and told me that these prices are intangible and the round off amount is provided and hence they closed the case.

I have even registered the case to Consumer Forum which was disposed stating that the dealer has provided the information with a closure letter, which is not true.

I seek your help with the case.

For Handling charges i raised complaint to the Tata motors customer care sending email and when they didnt respond i even kept their MD in cc and mailed them. The customer care just sends mail that we are assigning a team to resolve it that's it and after that nothing happens. I don't think They care for their customers.

Hi Sir, Thank you for your video, it's excellent and I found it very informative. I would like to share my experience with Tata Motors regarding handling charges. Unfortunately, I am also an employee of Tata Group :( I have booked Tata Altroz vehicle from one of the dealerships from Bangalore and they are asking for pay logistic charges of 6500. When I complained to Tata Motor there was no response, I marked all zonal sales manager email id, including MD. Later I received the below breakup from the dealership. So finally when I talked to Territory Sales Manager from Tata only, as per them there is legal notice by the court to all India dealers that logistic charge is illegal so they can't help here. Not sure what to do next.

Breakup received by Dealership.

1 Stock Yard Rent & Security  Charges 2490
2 Fuel Expenses 875
3 Transport  Charges – (Intra City) 1319
4 Driver Charges 824
GST @ 18% 992
Total Expense 6500

Hi Sir,

I had seen this video of yours. I just wanted your opinion on my case.

I booked Tata Nexon Diesel XMA on 31st July, 2020.

The sales executive told me that the car's production for diesel model has not started due to Covid19. So he can deliver the car to us in September. As Sept is not an auspiciuos month, we planned to take delivery in October on Dusshera. The executive agreed.

Now suddenly, today I got a call from the executive saying that they have got the car and we have to make the complete payment in 2 days. They had communicated to us earlier that we can make the payment 10 days prior to taking the delivery. Now they are claiming that they want the complete payment in 2 days or cancel the booking.

I want to register a complaint about this dealer to Tata Motors. how can I do that?

He called me and did dada giri saying, lena hai toh lo nahi toh refund kar do.

Gaadi abhi tak khareeda nahi aur abhi se itne tevar. He had given us a discount of around 45K and now he is claiming if I pay in September, I will not get any of that discount and have to buy on On Road Price.

Kindly advice, how shall I go about in this situation.

Regards,
TR.
