Dear Admin,

Good Morning !!

Happy to hear that you are helping the needy people by answering their issues.

My Ford Figo Petrol/CNG (2011 Model) was was running in good condition, But now due to the india lockdown period, I have not operated my car on daily basis. hence its battery gonna dead now and its not starting without pusing the car. once i push the car then it get started. This is not may concern as i can understant that it may be that the Thomas Battery is just like a level down brand. (I purchsed this battery before 2 year and it has 4 years of warrunty but durring this peried i faced so many issues in this battery so will change the brand now.)

Sir, My concern is, one MIL light is showing now in my car suddenlly. I asked on repairer he checked it by the Scanner and said to me that it has an CKP sensor issue and he reseted it for temporary basis as the Parts shop is not open due to Lockdown. vut after an hour the MIL (engine check light) came back in my car. I tried to make this issue resolve by geting help of another garrage who is also doing the vehicle wiring work. He did the same thing he checked the issue by the scanner and said that it can be due to the loss wire or any other currunt issue. he reseted the errore by his scanner online. Also checked some wire connection. the MIL light has been off. but he said i am not sure and it can came back after some time.

Since last 2 days the MIL not came back. so is it mean that the issue got resolved permamently.

Also i want to know that can I run my Car in this period untill the light not coming back.

And if the MIL light come back, what should i do, i need to park it till the lockdown or i can run this by speed limit of 50 or 60.

Your suggetion will be helpful for me.. It would be appriciated i can have adivse form you Sir.

Thanks,
Vikram Singh Rathore

Hello,

Yes can certainly drive car, as Malfunction light gone after CKP Sensor rune up

Baiscally - CKP Sensor is timing advancer which is put to improve acceleration and address power loss / engine backfire issue
But is not something which is what absolute necessary, especially if your car equipped with sequential kit as CKP sensor was primarily designed for conventional kit

If you still face issue - may even get CKP sensor replaced in to observe - cost around rs 1500 approx
There is no harm in driving car in such a condition too, even if CKP gone bad and causing this Malfunction light trigger. If you face driving issue may get CKP replaced in post lockdown.
