Hello sir. Went to Nexa to get a Ignis. Dealer says if you dont take maruti insurance the company does not allow us to give you any consumer disounts. They are basically forcing the consumer to go for their insursnce. Is this right sir and is it correct ?. Or are the dealers just making a fool of us by taking company name.

Hello,

Although Maruti Insurance is what recommended and has a USP of
> Dedicated 24x7 Support Center of Maruti Insurance - for providing information on Lodging Claim, Process Note, Documents
> Claim Process is better streamlined in Maruti Insurance
> No Deduction for Salvage happened under Maruti Insurance
> There is a dedicated Team which works in Maruti Suzuki under Maruti Insurance Brand. If in event of dissatisfaction due to Claim or Delay or Settlement amount - you can escalate and involve Manufacturer Maruti Insurance Team for Resolution

But - still if the customer do not intend to take Maruti Insurance, and want to buy Insurance from after-market - the dealership can not compel in any way. Its 100% customer discretion to buy
> Car Insurance through any Company
> Any product of choice

The same is as per IRDA Rules, if dealer insist on same - you may raise complaint with Maruti Suzuki - am sure can take this on priority to resolve in. Hope should help !!
