I bought a Scorpio in 2005 with the motive of buying a private vehicle, but a 9 seater vehicle was delivered with the documents of a 7 seater vehicle and registered as a private vehicle. Now after 15 years, when I am trying to get the registration renewed, we are being rejected. And since after 15 years a commercial vehicle is considered as a scrap, we neither can we get it re-registered as a commercial vehicle and nor can we keep it as a private vehicle. Mahindra authorised dealer as has accepted their fault of selling a 9 seater vehicle with a document of a 7 seater vehicle. But what should I do now so that I can renew my car's registration? Kindly help.

Hello,

Nothing can be done from RTO Perspective

However, you can write back to customer care or escalate to Mr Pawan Goenka / Anand Mahindra through Twitter (active on social media) / Email
Am sure they will get things back by offering some additional discount in consideration of New Car Purchase

Recently launched Mahindra Marazzo is a reasonable good MPV to own or may await for Next Gen Scorpio SUV expected in 2020
Hope it help !!
