I have a 2004 model Maruti Alto car. It has run 64,000 km and registered in Tamil Nadu. By Dec 2019, it will be 15 year old vehicle and due for Fitness Certification. The condition of the car is good except it does not have power steering and power windows.

Considering the draft bill and news on steep increase in fees for FC and plan on ban by Government for old vehicles that are 15 years old, do you suggest to sell this vehicle or advise to hold?

If advising to sell, do you suggest any hatch back petrol vehicle in budget of 3-4 lakes on road price. My maximum usage will be 3000 km per year and looking for 3-4 seater for occassional short commutes in rural/town places.

Thank you

Certainly should upgrade with a New car. Not only will get'
> Power Steering, Central Lock
> Will also get ABS and Driver SIde Airbag
> Better Emission Compliant
> Yes Handles and Drives well

If you consider exchanging Old car may well consider Alto K10 Vxi
Available with 1 Litre Engine which drives well, comes with ABS and Driver Side Airbag
Good AC Performance, Power Steering and car selling with over Rs 50,000 benefits including exchange bonus

Should certainly be a good choice. However, by January 2020 will also get BS6 Compliant Engine in same which is future ready too

Hope should help !!
