Hi sir. I am looking to buy a new hatchback and one of the dealers told me he will give more discount than the others.
When I asked him how, he informed me he will reduce the ex-showroom price also along with the insurance reduction.
Is it safe to buy it this way?
Thanks in advance.

You have not specified on which car model and which dealer quoting same

1. Ex-showroom price can not be reduced.
2. Its for calculating IDV - yes Insurance can be done at a lower IDV but this only benefit in marginally
3. If dealer ask for Voluntary deduction in Insurance then yes can reduce in premium but wont recommend as if claim raise, the amount will be short paid by Insurance company at time of claim settlement and you need to pay for same.

So, Ask him clearly on the deal in clear terms and compare in with the deal offered by other dealer
If Insurance done at reduced rates, ask him about IDV, Insurance policy terms, Insurance company, Insurance tyre

Hope should help !!
