(Copy of my email which I am thinking of forwarding to Hyundai. I need your advice.)

I, booked a Santro 1.1 AMT Green on 27th Aug through sales person from Saini Hyundai (Finex Merchants Pvt Ltd), Kolkata. During booking the sales person offered me Hyundai offer of Rs 15000 Cash discount. He also assured me of giving the extra discount if Hyundai increases consumer offer in next month of september.

After that, I availed a car loan and and got the draft on 17th Sep. I informed the sales person accordingly and insisted upon inspecting the vehicle thoroughly before handing over the draft and billing process. He then asked me to send a photo of draft over whatsapp for confirmation of loan and bringing the car to showroom from stockyard. On 21st Sep last Saturday, I inspected the car and being satisfied handed over the draft for final billing and delivery.

Co- incidentally Hyundai increases consumer cash discount to 30000/- from 21 st Sep, the date on which I handed over the draft. Now as I am demanding the extra consumer cash discount of 15000/-, the sales person and dealer is denying. They are giving me the reason that they have offered me a good discount and cannot club the present offer.

This is kind of a cheating and false promise which was made by sales person during booking. This is ultimately against me as a consumer. I am deprived of the on going offer as promised by sales person.

On requesting them repeatedly for the offer, they humuliated me and my father and asked to cancel the booking and buy car from elsewhere.

I have not taken delivery of my car till today. I am from a very lower middle class family and this extra discount of Rs 15000/- matters me a lot.

Please help me

This is poor customer service from Hyundai Dealership, do ask dealership what if the price hike been done
As a practice - prices prevailing on day of delivery / invoicing prevails. Similarly if dealership has not invoiced the car and neither delivered then increased offer should be applicable

Suggest to involve Hyundai Area Office or customer care, you are very much eligible for increased offer scheme

Hope should help !!
