Hello Sir, I come to know from some reviews that Hyundai Venue DCT have gear box heat up problem in bumper to bumper traffic situation, Some even mentioned that 30-40 minute traffic need a engine shutdown. Can you please clear this doubt as I am planning to buy Venue DCT after checking your review.

Hello,

It happens only in specific situation like
> Hill drive by applying accelerator and brake too much
> Let the car descend down by applying brakes too much
> Accelerating and slowing suddenly - repeating too many times

Which may well appear with any other car too can raise heat levels
Else, There is no as such issue of overheating

Hope should help !!

DCT version has an issue of overheating in traffic (stop and go) .. the transmission will heat up and there is nothing much you can do about it

Do not buy the DCT version if you have traffic in your area or commute. This car is not built for traffic situations

i own a hyundai venue dct s model 1.0 turbo petrol automatic model

Disappointed with reading all this stuff on DCT Engine being overheated . U got my first service done and faced the issue after that . The coolant cap blew off and whole of the coolant evaporated with the engine heated to maximum . I was not aware of this . How can this be resolved ??

Avoid DCT models of any cars.
They cannot cope up with Indian traffic situations.

Else buy at your own risk.
