Hello,

If period of stay going to be more than 12 months then yes
> Vehicle re-registration is required
> Road Tax needs to be paid again on Depreciated value
> If vehicle hypothecated then certainly Bank NOC would be required for re-registration

Do note that there are certain Motorist who drive car by paying road tax and without applying for re-registration
If you do that then you wont be able to claim back refund of road tax on pro-rata basis from Mumbai and been the vehicle registration mark would be of MH - the car may well be stopped by traffic police asking for documents and tax payment receipt.

Hope should help !!
