Greetings !!

As you going to own your first vehicle - recommended to own an Automatic car, been what
> Automatics going to be favorites in near future
> Lot more convenient and takes the stress away from drive in traffic
> Relatively easier in overall handling of car in day to day basis

However, Automatic are generally not known for the best in mileage. Even though CVT are considered fuel efficient (within Automatic) but at the end of day majority of owners across brands reports low mileage vis a vis Manual Transmission one

But - time is changing and preference shifting towards convenience and ease of drive as prime factor

Now BRV is the only vehicle which is left from Brio based Platform in Honda cars portfolio
Brio is discontinued in 2019, Amaze 2nd generation is different from what the 1st generation which was based on Brio based platform
Honda BRV despite been a
> good spacious product
> Honda 1.5 Ivtec Engine
> Spacious 6 Seater (would be incorrect to take it as 7 seater)

is what unable to make any impact on sales and despite offering over 1 Lakh discount including exchange - sales plummeted to lows of just 200 to 300 units a month. Consumers are going ahead with
> Maruti Ertiga for Petrol car lovers as even the top end model variant offered with much higher features offered at lesser price point against BRV S Middle Model
> Mahindra Marazzo in Diesel as even more spacious and better refined diesel engine against BRV Diesel

Been no future updates in line or car uplifted - This definite impact in future sustainability of product

As a product BRV V CVT Automatic although good one but relative steep price and low sales do make the car future in question ?
If that thing worries you then suggest to check out
> Ertiga Zxi Automatic - despite been 4 speed Automatic - for any one considering relaxed drive, comfy and in a sedate way will be overall happy with Ertiga Automatic as a product and relative fuel efficiency too with unmatched reliability offering.

Hope should help !!
