Sir,

Since a few months, my maruti 800 (2001) has been having intermittent jerks. Especially this occurs in slow speed (20-40 Kmph) and often goes off in idle position. I have get in checked up at several garages, where in the middle (with all electrical wires), oil sensor and pc valves have already been replaced. Inspite of this, the problem is still unresolved. I am wondering what could be the problem causing this jerk. Can you enlighten me so that I could get it corrected.

Hello,

The problem could be too generic to, too technical, As you have already shown car to multiple workshops - unsure what could the cause of issue, however - as basic reasons for jerk could be one among may, some are listed below :-

Suggest to do simple check early morning when traffic is low
> Is the problem happening while applying brakes in slow speed - Could be Brake Pads or Brake Disc issue - when you apply brake a bit,
> Does the car turn sideways on slow speed - Wheel Alignment is Mis-Proportioned and can also cause jerk
> Does the car jerks when AC On - A very dusty Air Filter / Pollen Filter, Dusty Injector can also cause
> OverHeating - Very low Coolant levels cause car to overheat early and may cause jerk too
> Worse is the Engine Transmission Issue - wherein despite of no brakes - the car stops - Check Fluid Levels - Engine Oil or get the Engine Fan checked or Engine checked.

But above are generic reasons, its best to visit a reputed Maruti service center and get the car checked thoroughly !!

Sir ,
My car is in the same situation from the past year.I already replaced distributor cap & code, ignition coil, breaker point, pcv valve. The same exists running with gas & petrol. So I think it is not the carburetor problem. Is any possibility to happened by differential gear?

Hi ,
My Maruthi Omni also comes under the same problem .
as earlier it was suddenly turning off after driving while driving. i replaced the point set, replaced carburetor, replaced the fuel pump, cleaned-up the tank..the problem was still persisting then my mechanic told me may be due to the faulty new fuel pump and suggested to connect one electronic fuel pump along with the normal fuel pump....the i did the same as per his suggestion... but even tough the problem of turning -off and not turning-on still exists..

the i removed the electronic fuel pump and replaced the coil ...the car wasn't turning off but the problem of engine misfiring has started in the speed of 20-40. in long speed like 60-70 the problem was not occurring..
then i went to the mechanic and said the problem he said its a minor point-set problem as the car war overheating as well..
then the mechanic opened up the point set it was like half burned the he rubbed it with paper file and fixed the issue.
the problem was resolved after he did that work.
believing that my car is now in good condition i drive my car along 30 km then again i faced the same misfiring issue in 20-4- speed ..but not in 60-7- speed..
please anyone help me to get this problem resolved...

My car Maruti 800 AC had a problem like in the middle of its runing suddenly automatically slows down the speed and if we keep on accelerating then engine gets off however if we keep on neutral immediately when its slows down the engine will keep on runining. Now if we repeat 2-3 times, then car starts to jerk and at certain distance the engine will get off and will have to rest for few hours.

So what could be problem and its possible solution plz help.

Thanks
