Maruti car dealer is offering me two Dzire variants.
One is BS-4 and other is BS-6, with the former around 15K cheaper than the latter.

My question is how can I differentiate between the two versions? The dealer is not willing to clearly write on the proposal/quotation form about the BS4 or BS6 which will be sold. Tried to look for comparable images of the two (BS4 and BS6 Dzire) on the internet, but no luck. I want to avoid the possibility of being sold a BS4 instead of BS6.

Can someone please let me know what are the visible differences between the two versions of Dzire Petrol, and can the dealer refuse to write BS4 or BS6 clearly on the bill receipts proposal/quotation form ?

There is no visible difference, however having said that
> Dzire BS6 version was introduced from Mid June 2019. So, can safely be presumed that Dzire from July 2019 onwards is a BS6 Car, you can ask dealer for VIN Chassis number of car (if in stock) and decode Decode VIN Chassis

> Do ask dealer to clearly mention BS6 on proforma. Else, take it on letterhead with duly signed and stamped that the given car is BS6

> Before taking delivery, may cross check by asking for RTO Form 21 which is essentially the sale certificate and contain all details of car including BS Emission norms as compliance status also mentioned on to it

Lastly after taking car delivery, can check on RC Smart car which will also have BS6 referred in it too
Hope should help !!
