I want to buy a new car/SUV as my old Maruti Swift become a bit small when going on road trip.
My budget is 12 to 18 Lakh.
Family size is 4 person normally but may increase sometimes. This is the one reason I prefer XUV 500 as you can carry luggage on top and 7 person can sit.
I go for road trips every 3-4 months with family mostly towards so comfort and space is important.
I am only driver in family so driver comfort is important.
I am also confuse aboutmanualvs automatic transmission.Mynormal drive 100 km per month's and when go out then 4000 to 5000 km.
I am in a transferable job and normallydont get to stay in big cities so servicing might be an issue later on.
You can also suggest any other vehicle if you feel is better for me.

Budget is on your side

Just to reconfirm do you mean
> You drive just 100 kms a month within city.
> Would be travelling for long distance once every quarter and can cover around 4000 Kms on same

If it is then really low, and you possibly looking for highway cruiser car.
Now if your requirement is primarily in highway drive then can even go with Manual Transmission one, (Automatic can be a better pick for some one having majority of drive within city)

Basis requirement from
> Occasional 7 Seater
> Service Network aspect
> Driver Seating Comfort, Ergonomics
> Comfort, Space Factor
> Possibly reliability aspect too

then avoid all above choices and Tata Hexa XM should be on your radar.

Its a proper 7 Seater - XUV500 3rd row is not meant for adults and neither the 2nd row can be slided too.
The legroom space is much restricted in the 3rd row

Hexa XM is a brilliant cruiser on highway condition and worth a check out
Hope should help !!
