Hello Ritika,

Look at the complete chasis number (not on RC), but on engine bay under bonet
It will be of 20 digit number - MA3EYD32S00700400$BE
First 17 digits of chassis is mentioned on RC, Insurance and Invoice. But its the last 2 digits after $ i.e 19th & 20th digit - which needs to be obtained for decoding manufacturing month and year of Maruti car.

The 20th Digit (i.e last letter) denotes manufacturing year - If its D then its 2013 make, if its E then its 2014 - for next year F will be for 2015
19th Digit (immediate letter after $) denotes manufacturing month
A - January, B - February, C - March, D - April, E - May, F - June, G - July, H - August, I - September, J - October, K - November, L - December

Thus you can decode easily to find the actual manufacturing date (including Month & Year of Manufacturing)
Trust it helps !!

Hello,

The chassis number provided is 17 digit number

Open in Bonnet and look for digits after 17 digit and $ sign. See Pic

> 19th Digit - Denotes Year - If its F - its 2015 Make Car
> 20th Digit - Denotes Month - A for Jan, B for Feb, C for March and so on

Refer - VIN Decode Sheet

Hope would assist in !!
