Dear sir
I’m very much interested in Tata Harrier. Before purchasing my brother already bought it . But he found so many problems in it . Ex: engine stops , engine smoke exhaust pipe noise , heat from dash board etc .

So by hearing all these complaints , I’m very much worried whether to buy or not . Because daily my trip distance is approximate of 150 kms .

Please suggest me whether to buy or not . If not please suggest equivalent to that vehicle

Sorry, but we are not aware of any such issues in the car
Did he referred his car to the service center, what is the feedback

Suggest to do ask him to update on the issues, since when facing and the feedback from Tata Motor Workshop on it.

Service center are doing in warranty . But when I used to travel on highways , engine gets stop .
Is there any other suv vehicle which is equal to harrier in all features

I have purchased Nexon and facing several issues. I am not comparing Nexon with Harrier BUT going through lot of ordeal since 2 months. Defective Clutch and Car was in service center for over a week just to rectify clutch. Serious doubt over reliability of the parts. Avoid Tata Car and be peaceful

I took my tata harrier to service center for some or the other issue for more than 6 times now, since I bought it. I cannot explain my ordeal. One of the major issues is clutch, it is burnt out. I complained about burning smell inside the cabin at low speed or during heavy traffic. Service guys have replace the clutch, could not explain why it happened though. Probably do3want to. Issue came up again after a month. This time it was even more, and I could see the smoke under the car. Thye have replaced the complete clutch assembly - clutch, pressure plate, pedal spring, added clutch cover etc. I had to leave the car for more than 10 days. Finally, the issue is fixed. Not sure if this is going to reoccur. Overall, I am really disappointed with the way the issue was diagnosed, time to replace, etc. This is my first tata car, and will be the last one..! Spent 20 lacs.for the high end :). Tata should manufacture more indicas, they cant make it big on premium cars!!
BTW, I never got a call from tata motors on service feedback, so far. Not sure how the dealer managed.

Really pathetic, bad decision to by a Harrier. The clutch got burnt, I recognised it months back and complained to dealership but still they said that everything is good. Today my car is not moving sent to service center and clutch is burnt. Tata is dabba car true.:( :(

I had purchased brand new TATA HARRIER XZ Vehicle on 14.06.2019.
there is heavy smoke and clutch plates burns after purchase of vehicle within 3 months( 2 times) and i left the car in showroom and they told the issue is solved and in future no problems will occure.
we had taken the vehicle delivery based on the oral assurance provided by service manager that the problem has been resolved and vehicle is in perfect condition.
We had left the vehicle for general check up on 25.12.19 as we had to go for a long trip. We had reported that gear is tight to operate. The vehicle was delivered and told that it is in good condition.
On 15.01.2020 , the vehicle suddenly stopped while driving in Anekal. While driving the clutch got jammed and gear was not operating . The sudden break down of the vehicle was informed to you , Regional Manager – Bangalore and Service Manager .We had faced similar problem just after 3 months.
We had been informed by Service manager that the clutch problem had been resolved while taking the delivery of vehicle again in October 2019. Yet again the problem resurfaced within 3 months of resolving the similar problem.
The same type of issue recurring immediately after redress of the issue can only be pointed to the negligence and laxity caused by Service to redress the issue.

Frankly speaking, now I have lost the confidence in the car . The car was purchased in june 2019 and we have faced the same type of problem thrice within 7 months of purchasing which is highly unacceptable for any new vehicle. The vehicle is purchased on loan. I am just a middle class state government servant who does not earn high income. This car was supposed to be my dream car which has now turned into a disaster. Also, for purchasing the vehicle on huge debt, I have become laughing stock for choosing such car.
This incident has destroyed the peace of the family.
After the occurrence of the 1st incident, we had asked Manager,showroom to replace the vehicle or refund the entire amount as it was less than 3 months old. But there was no response from Manager, Regional manager or higher ups for my ltr dtd 21.09.2019
We had trusted Service Manager during the last time when we were informed that issue was resolved. But yet again the same is recurring which is terrible. We have lost faith and I am not satisfied with service and also vehicle.
Without bothering about customer safety and satisfaction Manager and service manager, regional manager, bangalore demanded us to take the delivery of vehicle which is highly unjustified.
