Hi Sir. I have a tata tiago XZ+ with tyre size 175/60 R15. I wanted to know if upgrading the tyre to 185/60 R15 would cause any issues in the car. I only want to upgrade as availability of 175/60 R15 is less in the market.

I have calculated the change in diameter according to the formula on online forums and it comes out to be about 0.40% only, which is safe.
But my concern is that in other variants Tata provides 175/65 R14 tyres. So I am unsure if there is enough space in the car for my upgrade.

Thanks.
Mayank

Hello,

Suggest to avoid anything more than R15 175/65 with the reason
> Overall increase in circumference is more than 2% and Suspension dynamics definite needs tune up if going with R185 tyres (been same suspension used in 14 inch wheel - the present size R15 175/65 is the optimum tyre size for the car)
> Tyre Profile as Wider R185 will impact mileage
> Steering will further gain weight

Hope should help !!
