Hi I am using a Honda CRV petrol automatic 2006 model since 2013 and have done 60000 km only by now.

Last one year on three occasion car was over heated once due to leaking radiator( replaced now) once due to leaking lower hose pipe and once due to leaking upper hose pipe to engine.

Complete cost of revamping comes to 2.50 lakhs (including over coating of paint 75,000 ) as per authorised dealer’s estimate and he says car is good for another two years.

My query is whether I should go for repairs ?
If not then between New CRV diesel and TOYOTA Camry which one I should buy for a budget of 35 L.

My run is about 1000-1200 km per month

I like to drive car myself and my age is 59 years.

Greetings !!

Well - considering CRV condition and fact of been 2006 model - this 2.5 lakh rs is not justified in
I can suggest to replace in with a new model, but only part is starting 2020 1st Quarter - BS6 Compatible cars having its advantage over BS4
Refer - BS6 Advantage over BS4 Car
If car can be repaired at after-market for to be in workable condition at fraction of cost till 2019 end then its good to go or else buy car now

Now in between Camry Hybrid and CRV
There is no comparison at all in between Camry Hybrid and Crv, actually Camry is comparable to accord but due to import duty cost higher than Camry

Toyota Camry Hybrid is what the epitome of luxury saloon in mass market cars and comfort
Can be ideal as both
> Chauffeur driven
> Self driven

Its something to a league which no other car in its price range comes close to.
> Super Silent
> Fun to drive with Sports Mode
> Supreme Comfortable seats, plush sofa like seats on rear
> Top Notch Independent rear Suspension
> Been Hybrid is highly fuel efficient
> Hybrid as is what the future is
> Feels lot better planted in overall drive in good roads on city and highway

However, the On road price will touch almost to zone of 42 Lakh which is near around 7 lakh higher than CRV Diesel

Honda CRV Diesel
> has its different characteristic of convenience where there actually is no gear stick
> SUV Factor to take on even bad roads
> Although has additionally 3rd row but only for small kids (actually 3rd row is useless)
> Shift by Wire technology where there is no gear stick even, has button to choose modes

Although CRV is good in drive and convenient, but supreme comfort and refinement of Hybrid with Plush Seats cant be matched by this 1.6 Idtec Diesel Engine. Camry is league ahead.

If budget permits then Camry Hybrid, else CRV Diesel is always there
Hope should help !!
