Hello Mr. Gagan,

Thank you for quick response in creating the user account.

I am a first time car buyer. I have seen many of your videos very recently and liked the way you review the products and so I thought of taking your help in choosing my first car. I have following requirements:
1. Safety : Dual Air Bags and ABS
2. Decent Cabin space - I find swift has decent cabin space
3. Automatic

After my initial research, i though of taking new Swift VXI AMT model. But after checking BS VI news, i dropped the idea of taking new car, instead thought of taking pre owned car.

I have set my budget as 4-5 Lakhs. But Swift in pre owned market is very high. So am exploring other options. do you have any suggestions that i can think of with my requirements?

Greetings !!

Maruti Suzuki launched Swift New Generation in Feb 2018, there would barely be very few cars listed for sale in Second Hand Car Market and would be slight an issue to get AMT Automatic Version. Even if you find some one selling same - he will likely demand with bare 10% depreciation which is not what used car market work.

The Previous Generation Swift used to come only in Manual Transmission only.
I suggest to check out and explore for Baleno Delta CVT Automatic. You can possibly get in 2015 / 2016 Model Baleno CVT in around 5 Lakh. The Engine feels more refined in CVT Automatic and is even more spacious against New Gen Swift

Some Pointers
> Advantage of buying 3 to 4 year old car is that the probability of car maintenance and service on time is well there
> The Car gets depreciated highest in initial 4 years and you can get a good value out of it

Else in terms of reliability - Honda City is another key entrant and can possibly get City S Automatic 2012 Model in around your budget. The reliability factor of city is high and it used to power in 2012 with same 1.5 IVtec Engine which is powering the present Gen Honda City

Hope should help !!

I am from Bangalore and not finding the suggested models under this budget. There are some car posts related these models but they are around 7-7.5L as they were bought in 2016/2017. What i heard from my colleagues is that the second hand car market is costly in bangalore, comparatively.

I am finding posts majorly related to Hyundai Grand i 10 - Asta AT Kappa VTVT for 5-5.5L range with 30KM-20KM range and 2014-2016 models.

Is this decent offer and good product to buy?

Yes, Bangalore due to comparative higher road tax part (in new vehicle segment) has cars valuation 10% to 12% higher than most other cities even in second hand market.

Having said same - Baleno Delta CVT 2016 Model should well be around 6 Lakh.

Anyhow - Hyundai Grand i10 4 Speed Automatic is ideal for buyers considering
> Maximum in City Drive
> Loves relaxed drive with Light Steering
> Good in Cabin Space
> Good Tuned Suspension
> Overall Good Styling and Interiors
> Hyundai Reliability

But what it lacks is
> Steering feedback on higher speed
> Engine Turns vocal when you press in throttle with sudden surge of acceleration
> Mileage part as anything around 12 kmpl should be considered a reasonable good mileage in city condition

Overall - if seeking a car for maximum in city ride - Hyundai Grand i10 Asta Automatic can be a good choice
But been you are in used car market - suggest to do negotiate to bring price at 5 Lakh or under to call it good deal

May check more on Used Car Buying Guide

If i want to buy new car TataTiago XZA / Maruti Ignis Delta AMT / Hynudai Grand i10 sportz AMT then can you please suggest me the better one considering that i am long term user.

The December offers made me to think new car option.

Apart from this do you have any other options around 6-7.5L on road price.

Tata Tiago XZA although fully loaded has 2 prima facie concern
> Its Engine Performance does not feel as good on idling as against cars in consideration. There is a slight delay
> Also, Engine Noise on Mid range is relative higher

Now in between Ignis delta AMT and Hyundai Grand i10 Sportz Automatic - the price difference is around 1.25 Lakh
> Ignis selling with year highest discounts of 45K cash on AMT along with additional rs 7000 as corporate discount for first time buyers. This really make the deal sweet basis the fact of 1.2 Litre Engine and reasonable good performance basis the price bracket.

> However, if care for even better - spend a lakh more and you will get proper Torque Converter Automatic transmission which even feels more refined in city + better looks against Ignis + slight better rear seat comfort and Multimedia Touchscreen AVN

So - if budget is flexible - Hyundai Grand i10 Sportz Auto is a reasonable better product against Ignis AMT
However - care for value buy car yet with convenience factor - Ignis Delta Auto is what the choice.

Hope should help !!
