My Hyundai grand i10 sports 2014 model car, which i purchased as second hand comes with push button start. At the time of drive on busy town, due to a reason the car turned off, but suddenly not started and push button igniton also not reacted (only for sudden Off case). why this ?

Hello,

Could possible be related to batter as Battery in car or key fob near end of life
The easy way is to place key close to push button start button and then try and starting car

Suggest to get battery checked of car and possibly may replace in battery in car remote also
Hope should help !!
Same problem occur in my car even i changed car battery and key battery both. But still i face starting problem when i push button 10 to 15 times car get start. Please suggest.

I have grandi10 2014 model SMK is not working shall I repair the module or I would go for new one. Repair person said he will take 10k for repairs and 3 months guarantee. And I don’t know the actual price of new SMK

Ankit - This is SMK problem. you have 2 options 1st reapir this cost around 8-10k or 2nd purchase new cost 34000.

Even I have same problem on Grand I10 2014 model. Please provide me repair contacts.

I am also facing the same Smart key (skm unit) assembly failure issue in my 2014 manufactured - Hyundai Grand i10 sportz. Based on the comments above i guess its a Manufacturing defect and Hyundai should be held responsible for this. They should Replace the part free of cost to the user.

I have also same problem with SMK in my Grand i10 sportz 2014 model. Hyundai should replace part free of cost as repair cost is too high in Hyundai service centre. It's about 18,799. with 6 months warranty. Please help me

I have also same problem with SMK in my Grand i10 sportz 2014 model. Hyundai should replace part free of cost as repair cost is too high in Hyundai service centre. Who will take up this issue to company

I have also G. I10 2014 model and had same problem, Cost for new SMK is 34k. Same can be repaired in 2 to 3k. I got it repaired in 3k with 3 month warranty after year again facing similar issue so will again go for repair.
Don't buy new one it can be repaired easily.

This is known issue with Hyundai Grand i10, I too have 2014 model and given my car for accidental repair at Capital Hyundai workshop Sector 58, Noida in 2023.once i received my Vehicle, I faced the same issue and I complaint to Service centre and Hyundai Motors India Head Mr Unsoo Kim at unsoo@hmil.net , I got the call from Mr Mukesh he said they will take care the issue and after diagnose they said that remote battery is week and just because of that you are facing the issue, but at back end they would have done something makeshift (Jugad) and returned back my car which worked for sometime but in the mean while again same issue repeated and my car got accident twice as it stopped at red light and got an accident, then repaired through the same service centre. Again issue repeated and I sent the mail to Mr Unsoo Kim, again got the call from Mr Mukesh they picked up my vehicle on 19 Jan 2024, and after keeping one week they said SMK nit is faulty and they will repair it, but this time I denied first the same and requested them to replace on FOC, then I got the mail from Capital Hyundai with an Estimate of₹46,750/- , since this is known issue and ots of people are facing this issue they should own up and replace this batch failure defective part for all of us on FOC. I think we all should write mail to Mr Unsoo Kim unsoo@hmil.net, if they not respond we will fule the case in consumer forum. Wait for sometime I am creating community on social media through which wr all will raise the concern. I will update here.

I also Grand i10 Sports 2014 model and recently come to have the same issue of SKM recently which cost around 34k and also they have doubt of ECM unit as well which cost around 45k.
It completely seems the manufacturing defect of Hyundai. Can anyone suggest what to do in such case?
