I purchased new Baleno sigma petrol in jan 16. Car has run 10000 kms. Now it’s daily running is 55 kms. Should I go for CNG or not. I also opted extended warranty of two years at the time of purchase.

Hello,

If going with CNG then the extended warranty will remain void

Although - CNG is not recommended by Maruti Suzuki but many vehicle owners opted for CNG Kit in Maruti Suzuki K Series Engine as Sequential CNG Kit having running of more than 40 Kms daily

Been your running is almost 55 Kms - approx 1500 Kms+ a month
CNG can be economical in terms of running cost with the running cost will just be 50% as otherwise is in Petrol
Take it this way If mileage in Petrol is say 14 Kmpl - then running in CNG will be 25% better at almost 18 Km/kg of CNG
Now Petrol Fuel cost in around Rs 76 per Litre, while CNG cost around Rs 40 per Kg
This will translate a running cost of Rs 5.4 per Km in Petrol and around Rs 2.5 per Km in CNG - means fuel cost savings of Rs 35000+ a year
The fuel saving justifies the reason for CNG - but this will forego the warranty part

Important is to know
> If CNG Installed, power performance will be slight impacted
> In Delhi - there is huge pile up of vehicles at Fuel Stations
> OBD-II Sequential CNG Kits are advisable
> Only go with reputed after-market fitment center

Hope should help !!

I am also planning to buy new CNG and install CNG kit after 500KMS as my daily running is 75-80KM.
Should i buy and convert or buy second hand car and then isntall it?

Hi Admin,

I am planning to buy NEW Alpha 1.2 Baleno and will fit CNG at the earliest as my daily travelling is between 75-80Kms.
UNfortunately Nexa does not install hence i have to give up my warranty to install CNG.

Should i buy second hand car and then install CNG or buy a new one as old cars will have more wear-tear than new cars and new car parts are not so sensitive and risk can be taken?

What will be your view??
